Hello everybody reading this,

About 10 years ago (I'm 34y now) I did a MBTI test that mistyped me as an INTJ. We do have a lot in common, but over the last period I did some deeper digging because it made less and less sense. I did a couple of online tests and now they all said INTP(-A), which makes much more sense, thank Glob!

Past weekend I read "The secret lives of INTPs". Which I enjoyed very much and for the most part defined me to a T ;p, but also left me with somewhat of a sour taste in my mouth.

I realy don't have the math affinity. I was already disillusioned with school from a young age. I finished highscool and got a diploma in graphic design (why? I still don't really know, and I don't know what else would fit me). Soon becoming a dtp-er because I learned it easily and hate selling/explaining my work. But after not liking most workspaces and job hopping a lot. I kind of hit the ceiling, and don't know where to go. I just like being home alone and reading but that has not paid the bills so far.

Also after reading that book/document. I have become more angry with society, education and my father (an ISFJ) for pushing me toward the E,S,F and J direction (hence the mistyping earlier on). Don't get me wrong I am grateful for developing my F, but his forced morality gets on my nerves quick.

Not really a light introduction or concrete questions but thank you for letting me vent a little anywag. Any insight is very welcome.

I totally relate. Coming from a family of extroverted sensors, it's very hard to feel like me. They always seem to put me in a box and expect me to stay there forever silent. Staying home alone, watching and reading all kinds of things are what brings me peace. It doesn't pay the bills though, and at some point we have to leave and face the world. But I think we'll all find something eventually. Sooner is better than later, but later is better than never right?
Hope it gets better for you ;)
