Hi! My name's John, and I've consistently rung up (and been rung up by others) as an INTP for about 7 years now. I'm 22, just finished college as a physics major, and am currently unemployed. I dream of being a musician, a dream which is unbelievably complicated and difficult to realize. I hope to share some music with y'all soon.

It seems like there's a bit of an entrance exam to this forum, but I'll happily let you fail me right now. In fact, I'll help you in your justifications: the choosing of my icon was very intentional. If I were to be chosen for a Harry Potter house, it would be Hufflepuff. Everyone in my life ever agrees. Other than that, you'll get to me know me as I get to know y'all and this forum.

I'm here mostly because I've known many INTPs in my life so far, and they're typically fascinating people, and passionate about something I know little about. I hope that in a forum of INTPs, I'll be able to discover good thoughts, books, movies, music, opinions, mantras, experiences...so on. Hopefully I'll have some to share with everyone as well? Cheers!

Check your basement.
Hello. Hola. Annyong.

I never did an introduction here, I'm not great with them. I clap for your bravery.

What type of music, exactly?

I don't know exactly what sort of music I write - probably people would say folk pop, but it gets kinda dark and twisted a lot. As for my taste, it's all over the place. I started out in prog metal/rock when I was 14 or 15, moved to metal, then to pop, then to folk, and right now I'm breaking new ground in both country and jazz. Little classical phases here and there. I'm always trying to find new music.

dod, unfortunately not. I don't think it's bad, but it's not where I'm at right now. I'm sure some day I'll be into Black Flag...if I can warm to black metal, Black Flag shouldn't be too tough. Recently I've been into a lot of stuff with tight vocal harmonies - see The Four Freshman:

Just four voices, and such silky, complicated harmonies. I could spend hours trying to wrap my mind around the stuff, ugh it's so good.
