How did you find out that you were INTP, or other type?

Originally, I thought I was an INTJ after having taken many MBTI tests and realized how rubbish those tests are due to how inaccurate they are. I began looking at the cognitive functions more in depth and realized that I am actually an INTP.

How did you find out about this forum?

Well, I was just browsing the internet about stuff on INTPs and found this place

Yes, i've two cat but they live with my parents since i'm not allowed pet in my dorm

I'm a part time retail salesperson and I study Linguistics and Anthropology and minoring in Modern Greek

Yeah, i've got a few. I enjoy learning foreign languages, hiking, baking, traveling, listening to music, browsing the web

What genre(s) of music do you like?

I mainly like Punk rock, so Sum 41 and Eskemo. I also like world music, too, so music in Italian, French, Greek, Spanish, etc. I enjoy some trance and some pop and alternative, too

Do you have a favorite book or genre?

Not a favorite book, but I enjoy books on Philosophy, Arts and Cultures, and Economics. As for fictional stuff, I like dystopian literature

I love cheese and pasta, so Italian. I also enjoy Thai, Chinese, and Mediterranean cuisines. I detest seafood. I recently found out that I dislike vietnamese food

I'm currently studying French and Modern Greek, but I also know Spanish (fairly fluently),Italian, Swedish, basic Arabic, basic Russian, and a bit of Portuguese (i'll be heading to Brazil soon).

I'v a couple of friends who are fluent English and French speakers, often when they talk to each other they'll switch mid sentence which language they're speaking in to better articulate or describe what they're saying. Even though I don't know any other languages, it's highly fascinating to listen to.

Nice meeting you! And you would be surprised at how many times intps test as intjs. I got intj a lot of times but it is because my P is not as strong as some INTPs. However i am still intp and i found out like you by understanding everything behind mbti.

Why is it derailment when I ask why the OP joined, when he CLEARLY did not say so. Yes, I can INFER it, but that is just speculation and guessing. Finding our why someone joined seems to me very much part of an introduction exchange.

Polaris, are you influenced by the claims made by others who said he stated why he joined? THEY or THEIR denial is what is off topic here and so THEY are derailing it. I think my question is a VALID question in a thread such as this.

Yeah I am very sensitive to these things. I am sorry. I am very paranoid and quickly feel wronged. Something I have to work on but it just keeps creeping in. This affects my relationships, even online, so that life is harder and it embarrasses me.

My recent behavior is likely to put most people on edge. You were nicely trying to communicate and get involved with mac but I was off topic and attacking things that needed no commenting on.

You should not feel embarrassed. I obviously set you on this path but neither of us can always be fully aware of how our actions might affect those around us or see the intentions of the actions of others.

Like I said, the majority of the blame goes to me. It is good to remember that blaming ourselves or eachother will do nothing in providing better interaction in the future. We can learn from this but I think we should just move past it an consider it a positive experience in that too much damage was not done but much was learned.
