Hello everyone! I'm an INFJ and I came in search of knowledge and understanding. I'm very curious about all 16 personalities, but find the honest INTP to be one of the most interesting. Looking for change and growth, I thought maybe this would be one of the best places to start.

Yeah... welcome, haha. I visited the INFJ forum for a while, and heard (from one of the much older members) that he realized INFJs and INTPs are just opposite sides of the same coin. Both very interested in symbols and non-material ideas, lots of self-searching in life, etc. You guys just empathize with everyone, let emotions flow freely between yourselves and others, and think otherwise Feelery, while we're instead dumbfounded by feelings, do our theorizing impersonally and otherwise Thinkery, and don't want anyone to empathize with us at all.

In other words: come, all ye who are sick of empathizing and worrying about people, and we will give you rest

I'm happy to see I'm not the only INFJ. :P

That INFJ seems very knowledgeable. I do admit that my thoughts are so 'feel-y' sometimes, that I would rather say "I'm feeling" than "I'm thinking" when others ask why so quiet. This is one thing I'd like to adjust about me, however. I want to be more logical and practical, yet keep my sensitivity. ^^;

Haha.. *self-conscious* ..when I empathize with my friends, it can make me feel weary, although they would never know that. This forum will give me an excellent place to.. not care. (Aah, just saying this makes me feel contradictory..) >>;

Haha, I do feel like I teeter off the edge of sanity sometimes, but that's only in major cases.. ^^;
I love animals personally. I have 4 cats, a dog, and a ferret. XD I mostly consider the ferret and the black cat as my companions (both boys; I don't care much for female animals [still love them though]; not quite as kind in my opinion).

Elusive? *blinks in disbelief, becomes shy* -O,O-
In real life, I know an INTJ; older brother is INFP, close friend is ENFP, ex is ISFJ. I do have other friends, but I don't know their MBTI type.
I have a unique friend who is an INTP on the Internet. -^^- I'd like to understand his character a little more also.

Poetry is wonderful; I used to compose poems to express feelings in ways I could not or had no outlet for otherwise.

I actually use poetry to convey ideas and discharge emotion. I have a hypothesis though about the discharging of emotion which implies that apathy is the state people's unconsciousness strive for, in some shape or form at least (my hypothesis is early in development though).

What kind of person are you? What do you feel, what do you compare yourself to? Maybe these are difficult questions to answer, but I'd like to know. ^^;

Maybe these are difficult questions... for some individuals. However, INTPs excel at self analysis! (That's all we really have though.)

I could answers these questions, but I'd only probably end up offending you (my answers would probably grant only information that you already knew and/or useless information and it may appear as if I was mocking you).

I will say this though: I have an affinity towards mystic things.

Perhaps I could create something dedicated to you? Although it may take a very long time (perfectionist when it comes to expression), I would get it done.

Dedicated is fine, but you must use your creativity to find a relevant link to me. That's the condition if you choose to pursue that challenge.


Take all the time you need; spend some good time in the forums and decide which of the two challenges you wish to attempt to pursue, if any.
