I'm purpleorganism and I'm new here!

It's been a while since I've been involved in a forum community , 2005 to be exact. I've recently turned 20 years old and I have a pet ferret named Gamora and she is the absolute worst. I'm a junior in college pursuing a double degree in Political Science and Public Affairs.

You can pretty much ask me anything because I can't really come up with more information about myself that you might be interested in.

Do you like the sound dogs make when they die?
What are your views on religion and humanity?

Do ferrets smell as bad as I heard this guy say once while I was waiting for the train?

If I'm ever having pets again, I think I'd consider a ferret.

Hey, I'm female, 23, INTP, and undertaking a degree in political science.
I chose mine because like 90% of the people know in real life cannot and do not comprehend how the world is run, or by whom. I figure it's about time the 'people' started educating themselves, and as a true enneagram 8 wing, I'll lead by example.
Coincidently, of the 500 students I started the year with only two of us were undertaking politics, whilst 498 were going into psychology -_-

I must admit, I was furiously fed up with politics a few months ago at the last election in the UK. It was completely rigged. Fighting a loosing battle for sure, but fight I will as it's in my blood.

In the last week or so with this forum being down I took the extra time to read Mein Kampf and also a book called 'After the Peace - Loyalist Paramilitaries in Post-Accord Northern Ireland' by Carolyn Gallaher, an American Political Scientist.

Both books synchronistically presented them selves to me within the space of two days.

I'm from a Belfast Catholic background, and although I was reading about the Loyalist perspective, the author done an excellent job in educating me on most things 'Troubles' related. I was thankful, the education was needed. My Irish family refused to properly educate us kids on their history from home.... Presumably because the events are so traumatic. My family were/are embedded up to their neck in the main storylines. I've just began my Catholic perspective reading now, starting with Gerry Adams, Before the Dawn.

Some parallels could be drawn from Mien Kampf and the Loyalist book due to Nationalism being the centre of debate.

Was quite funny when I was reading Kampf, I got 100 pages in and told my friend laughingly that so far, I couldn't knock anything Hitler had said, and that I would inform my friend how far I could make it through the book before alarm bells started ringing... Haha.

I made it up to about 250-260 pgs before Hitler became to 'radical' for me

I am convinced there is more psychology involved in economics/politics than in psychology...

Oh I agree that psychology plays a huge part in HOW the world is run, but not as to why or by whom.
Also, I lack faith in the establishment educating peeps in regards to how hegelian dialect, cognitive dissonace, silent weapons or quiet wars etc, are utilised in our slavery.

Cliff Clavin ("Cheers!") moment:

Ferrets, weasels, mink and skunks are all related and can have strong smells. It's worse with skunks because they can project the smell physically into the air and add hydrocyanic acid (I think) to "weaponize" it. And in a further related Cliff Clavin moment, skunk essence is used in miniscule quantities in some perfumes because it projects/expands/disperse the odor but is not present in enough quantity to be detectable as "skunk." And in a third Cliff Clavin moment, the gathering of skunk essence for sale to perfumeries is what gave rise to the downhome adage "Every man has to skin his own skunks," a figure of speech that can, when uttered at the right moment, confuse an adversary.

OK done. Less coffee.

1. Hitler had a very misguided view of the world and therefore his opinions of others were rather flawed and when you have flawed opinions of others your opinions of those peoples opinions can't really be that sound. So i don't generally agree or like Hitler's opinions about the opinions of others.

2. My pigmy elephant would be names Horton and I wouldn't pant him any color but if held at gunpoint and asked pink would be the obvious choice.

3. My opinions on religion are mixed? I guess you can say. It's an interesting facet of human culture and it's interesting to see what people are willing to believe in so wholeheartedly. But it also kind of sucks cuz you know what people are willing to do for those beliefs. Humanity is always evolving and changing and unlike some people I believe it to be for the better.

I'm sorry it feels like i'm spamming the thread but it's been a while I don't remember how things work...

Ummm. She smells some times more than others. I give her a bath twice a month because she's loves to rub her body against any and everything and things start to smell but other people say it's not that bad ( except an ex-roommate but she's another story). The thing is you need to find a balance because the smell is oils being produced to moisturize her coat so if you wash them too much it gets bad but if you don't it get's bad. It's not terrible but it's an odor just like dogs smell like dogs and cat's smell like cats. But an old roommates boyfriend loved the way she smelled so too each their own. The worst part is how inquisitive they are. I had a cup of vodka and juice on the table and she climbed up and started drinking. Apparently ferrets like alcohol and I wished someone had warned me. She's fine though.

I'll put Animekitty's "question" here too. Yeah the internet. I was 10 and I loved Teen Titans and there used to be a forum dedicated to Raven that me and my friend were on. I hope no one knew we were 10. I've been in the fanfic game for like half my life it's so sad to think about but I was always a sneaky kid and I think the forum was the most reckless thing I've ever done and i don't even think it was that bad I never talked to people on the boards in private or gave out any info about myself.

To be completely honest I wanted to be Olivia Pope so I chose PA because we didn't have a PR major at my school sooo. But now I can always use it work for a non-profit or something if i don't want to do anything with my PS degree.

I love politics in theory and I love law but after being in school I realize that I can't actively be involved in either. I love the concepts involved in law and all theories about political systems and organization. It's not as straight forward as you'd think. And of course law is so fascinating. The hoops that people jump through to justify the court decisions and it's all so fascinating. I love reading and learning about court cases though it's difficult for me to retain and recall the names at the drop of a hat so that's how I know law school aint' for me. And yeah there's a ton of psychology/sociology involved in Political Science. I'm an INTP so it's difficult for me to accept the fact that other people are willing to be "wrong" as I see it. And whenever I argue I get upset and cry not because of conflict because people are just wrong and not seeing my way. I really need to grow up about that one.

tl/dr: I wanted to be Olivia Pope and law and politics are fascinating or at least to me.

I don't quite go to that extreme but I also get annoyed when people are wrong. Now before people say "ahh but how do you know they are wrong" generally, the only time I get annoyed is when I know I have more information than they do yet they assume they are correct. It's not that they are unintelligent, no matter how intelligent someone is if you don't have the correct information it's highly unlikely you will be right.

A blatant example is seeing something happen, then seeing the reaction and having people who didn't see the initial cause tell me they know what the cause was and refuse to believe they are wrong.

Anyway, the button just to the right of the quote button allows you to multi-quote so you don't need to post each one individually. :)

Is there any way we could fit this on a bumper sticker or a T-shirt? I'm an American, so those are the only media I have to express myself to the people I encounter in real life
