I recently installed 'The Witcher III' on my Windows 10 computer. But recently I am encountering a problem while playing this game. After playing a while my computer starts crashing and sometimes it automatically restarted. I do not understand what could be the issue? Can anyone help me to solve the issue?

My Current PC setup:
OS: Windows 10 Pro 64 Bit
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3400G
RAM: 8 GB DDR4 Corsair Vengeance 3200MHz
Motherboard: Gigabyte A320m-S2H
GPU: AMD Radeon™ RX Vega 11Schuyler Hilll
HDD: Seagate BarraCuda 1 TB
SSD: Crucial BX500 240GB

Did you try lighting your computer on fire? That works for some people.

What is this, tech support?

You have a pretty weak PC to be running modern video games my dude. Your CPU or GPU is overheating and shuts down before it gets seriously damaged. That's why you can play for a bit before it goes down.

Solutions: Upgrade your PC, get better cooling, monitor temperatures over time, lower in-game graphics settings.

Nice troll post 10/10

Thank you @birdsnestfern for sharing this informative article. But there is showing the Msmpeng.Exe files in the task manager. Then the problem is having due to these error files? Because I did not notice these files before installing the game.

I believe it is because you become enraged while playing the game, and thus start puching and kicking your computer. This causes it to malfunction.

But I found this article online and I followed the first method which is stop the Windows defender's scanning process. But friends, there also discussed another method of rescheduling the Windows defender. Not only this article, but most of the articles also suggested applying this method.

Though after applying 1st method, the problem got solved. Then should I need to apply another solution?

Appease the machine spirit and review the event log, it does sound like overheating.

Does the game stutter and freeze before the crash occurs? If so it could be a lack of RAM.

Sometimes it freezes, I did not get any such kind of issue before restarting.
