Hey all ^.^

I just finished school this year, and intend to do computer science in college XD Mainly I'm into creation... Drawing, writing, painting, playing music... Like, art ^.^ Also, I'm kinda into knowledge and philosophy. Areas that are of particular interest to me are mainly psychology, computers and physics (which I intend to learn for fun), as well as stuff related to the other things I mentioned. You may perhaps notice that I at times exhibit perhaps somewhat hyperbolic and potentially even childish behaviour, but I would attribute this to little more than the consistent level of joy such behaviour brings me, which may perhaps only be rivalled by intelligent discussion. :P It may seem like a certain mask, but indeed, I feel that I enjoy masks, internalising them, in a way, making them part of me. Truly, the notion that one is the same person at all times to all people is little more than an elaborate illusion :P Perhaps this is what I meant. Yes. *nods*

Anyhow... I'm an INTP :D I took various tests a few times, and it seems to be so ^-^

Recently I began learning C++ >XD It's somewhat complex... But it's rather pleasing :3 And I also decided to create a visual novel. And two computer games. And write a book. And Learn to paint like a master. As well as play piano. Plus explore deeper into various sciences. And learn Chinese for fun. And eat lots of white chocolate.

I'm also really into horror >XD My favourite author is H.P. Lovecraft and I looove horror movies. As well as science fiction ^-^

Aside from that, I potentially have emotional deprivation disorder, and am rather shy in real life :P After my long internet journeys, though, thankfully this doesn't extend into the e-dimension ^-^

Oh well... Off to search for an avvie now.

And ooh, cute emoticons :D

:elephant::king-twitter::rip::borg:

P.S. I'm an alien.

P.P.S. Also, I'm kinda a guy ^-^ To the left you may see an example of my enjoyment of femininity :P

Welcome! I'm impressed by your breadth of knowledge. :) Regarding your suspected EDD, would this list describe your problem?

Hey :3

And yeah... I checked out a few lists, including that one, and it seems to fit pretty well ^.^

That's rough. I hope that you find unconditional love one day! :)

Anyway, if you're into C++, then talk to Architect in his Ask Architect thread: he has all sorts of advice for young INTP programmers.

Welcome. Great OP.

After this thread, are you SURE you want to hang out here? After all, when you gaze into the abyss, the abyss also gazes into you... right before it lovingly nibbles your toes... and then proceeds to shins and kneecaps... and then leaps ahead to pulverize your pelvis with sharp gnarly teeth.

Name 5 of your favorite horror movies.

PS. Glad you're not shy here. This place has a way of dragging people out of themselves into the light. Bwa ha ha.

Prithee, dear, I enjoy nightmares XD The abyss knows better than to displease me, I would hope. I did experience some vivid paranoia recently of a malformed creature hiding just out of sight, and I sense it to this day... But I tamed it, and despite its malignant desires, it is now loath to convey even the most subtle displays of hostility ^.^

Five horror movies... Frontiers, The Thing (not the new one), Switchblade Romance, Alien (might not qualify as horror... but still ^-^ I love Giger and his work) and Eraserhead. And yours? :P

Then go get yourself a therapist if you can. The best of luck to you in that endeavor, in coding, and among us.

Ah HA!!! So you've beaten the giant, which means you're exceptionally strong, so you could've put the poison in your own goblet, trusting on your strength to save you, so I can clearly not choose the wine in front of you. But, you've also bested my Spaniard, which means you must have studied, and in studying you must have learned that man is mortal, so you would have put the poison as far from yourself as possible, so I can clearly not choose the wine in front of me.

... o.O ... wait, how did I end up talking about wine?
No matter. It is clear you are not intimidated by the abyss. Hmmm....

Five horror movies... Frontiers, The Thing (not the new one), Switchblade Romance, Alien (might not qualify as horror... but still ^-^ I love Giger and his work) and Eraserhead. And yours? :P

The Descent
The Grudge
Alien
The Fly (Cronenberg remake)
Nightmare on Elm Street (original)

There are also a few movies that might not quite be horror that sometimes are counted as part of the category:
- The Silence of the Lambs
- Pan's Labyrinth
- Cloverfield
- Sunshine

I can't even remember now what the new The Thing was like, although I've seen it. While I don't prefer the special effects in the original movie, I still think it's a great movie... a classic.

Of course, if you enjoy Giger, you can handle anything including The Thing.

Oh, The Fly! Were it to cross my mind, I would have surely mentioned it in my list XD And I also enjoyed Pan's Labyrinth and Cloverfield, which indeed do contain great elements of horror ^.^

Alas, I have not seen the others... Although Nightmare on Elm Street is a priority of mine.

Anyhow, the sun shall rise in the upcoming hours, and that would create all sorts of fiery difficulties. My casket calls, and I must thus depart, before those ultraviolet rays of burning hell befall my palish skin. Goodbye all... Nightmare's well awaits me ^_^

Not to imply you're unwelcome, but you seem entirely too enthusiastic to be an INTP.

Oh wow. How odd. That's like a "staple" of the horror movie genre.

The original is better, IMO. The remake leaves Freddie a joyless thug. It's rather like the remake of Evil Dead; the production quality in the new one is better, but the old one actually exuded joy in its work -- never have demons had so much fun possessing and dismembering people.

Farewell! Have fun visiting the casket!

Welcome. You do seem pretty high-energy for an INTP, though that might just be the internet effect.

Do you find you're this hyper in real life? Does it feel genuine, or is it consciously manufactured? Does it wear you out at all? (Just curious)

I had never heard of EDD, though the descriptions are hitting uncomfortably close to home. Maybe it just has some substantial overlaps with "Lonely Nerd Syndrome", cause my early childhood contained plenty of hugs 'n cuddles and such.

It's genuine... I do think it be the internet effect ^-^ In real life I a somewhat low in energy... I always noticed it. But my mind is often excited ^-^ Especially after a day consisting of learning :P But no, I haven't lied ^.^

I am/can be the same way. Online, particularly on Tumblr:

"OMG!!!!11111 THIS IS THE BEST THING EVAAARRRRRR!"

IRL:
"Huh. Cool."

Though I believe a part of that was me being insecure; a woman noted how excited I could get over things such as going to the planetarium in high school.

Y'know, I wonder if the Bumbling Genius stereotype is mostly due to us being "different." Like, if we were a larger percentage of the population, would we be naturally more wacky and/or openly enthusiastic?

Interesting thought. Initially I'd say no, because of it whole introversion thing, but get me excited enough about anything and I'm bouncing around like an idiot.

I think it's more...having such intense thoughts or esoteric interests. So most things that other people get excited about, won't really get us going. But find something that does pique our interests, like say, finding some like-minded thinkers on a online forum, where you are already pretty open and more energized anyway, and maybe you'll appear a little more "enthusiastic" than normal.
