What is common sense? Doesn't it depend on one's objectives? Then they could improve things with a decent conviction about things commonly known as common sense.

And so, do you think it possible that a) these individuals would have access to all of the relevant information to properly make a decision, and b) their interests would remotely align with yours and your "common sense?"Basically, prima facie when the relevant information is given. Like Occam's Razor.

If this were true, then why have they not done it, despite years of empty claims and blaming the other side? From the standpoint of a business owner, illegal immigrants are a gold mine. It is better for them to simply use immigration as a wedge issue to anger the lower classes with whilst not scolding the business owners who employ them one bit, then it would be to end the visa system (which is how the majority of illegal immigrants enter, btw) and tank the economy when you run out of farm workers. Unless you employ illegal immigrants (who you can pay less) then you do not share their interests. And so, do you think it possible that a) these individuals would have access to all of the relevant information to properly make a decision, and b) their interests would remotely align with yours and your "common sense?"Basically, prima facie when the relevant information is given. a) sometimes.
b) I would guess there would be an overlap between my ideas and theirs. Not a perfect overlap, but on the most basic things, I think we would more or less agree.

If the idea of common sense is that there should be some universal truths which people hold in common or desired outcomes that they share, I would say that that does not appear to be the case.Your example with the business man does not work because it is specific and not general and I am talking about general things as that is what common sense is based on. Do you really not know what common sense is?
