As an xxxx, I have always been consumed by trying to increase my breadth of knowledge. But enough of me and onto the meat and potatoes of the post.

The main idea is for each poster to post an interesting (and true) fact. Provide source URL's! Please read through the posts before posting, it simply will not do to have multiple posts on the same topic. Please don't post subjective information or opinions either.

I will start out.

A great way to find out some interesting things is to bookmark the random page feature from Wikipedia, something that allowed me to discover something called ninja rocks, which are illegal to posses in many states and allow the user to break into a car by shattering its glass quietly.

The mass of all ants is estimated to be approximately equal to the mass of all humans. The number varies between 10^15 and 10^16 ants (according to wikipedia).

I advise you, however, to not read that article. There's a picture of a bull ant in it.
