just found out about this website MIT Open Courseware. haven't checked it out much, but you can watch lectures and read notes for free, with no registration, on MIT level education. i might look this over and wondered if other people might be interested.

What have you got to lose? You may find that it ignites a passion in you for more formal learning too. If you can get a certificate for any study you undertake, it simply confers more power in the dominant culture. You may not value this, but it could open doors for you. Go for it.

its not an actual online course, you can't get a degree for it, but it is a good place to learn college level stuff, no registration or membership required. anyone can view it and you can browse whatever topics you want (theres no 'courses'). i've watched the introduction to biology and the introduction to chemistry so far, i'll probably keep watching the videos. some of the older ones aren't as well put together (you can't see whats on the overhead projector) but the newer ones are cool. also, not all of them have videos.

If you find any math or science stuff that slips you by, but isn't explained in any other section, give a holler. I think this is a fantastic way to learn about those subjects you can't find good material on elsewhere.
