I was actually pretty disappointed with 2. I'll probably still pick up 3, and I hope it supports natal. But, I kind of doubt it will... Maybe though.

I can't wait for natal though ;)

Fable 2 was short and felt incomplete. I really love lionhead as a developer, so i hope they impress me with fable3.

I'm currently playing Fable 2 and I've just finished saving the hero of will form the spire prison, so what do you all mean by short?

So far my opinion of Fable 2 is quite favorable, the combat's harder than before but without being frustrating, the story is surprisingly compelling, the world itself is large enough for a serious gamer to enjoy but small enough not to discourage casual gaming; all-in-all as good a game as one can realistically expect.

tHe story in part 3 sounds cool. You overthrow a kingdom, then another nation attacks you.

I second Yahtzee's sentiment; 'Why can't I marry my dog?'

I think you are supposed to be the son/daughter of your hero in Fable II when you play Fable III

It would be ... weird.

Not that being a dog/human hybrid will stop me from murdering every single human being in the game.

(not the bunnies doh they're to cute)

How could you miss out on the bunny hunting?

And there's something about the end of Fable 2 I'd like to mention.
In case your a complete idiot, this will spoil the ending if you haven't finished the game yet.

You, yes you, the idiot, go away now or read on at your own risk.

Okay, near the end Lucian gives his little speech about how the world is a cold worthless place and you either kill him or the other dude does (damn you, that was my kill, MY KILL) then you get given the three choices (wealth, love, sacrifice). Well after thinking about it for ten minutes I decided to take love, since I already had considerable wealth and cared little for people’s opinions of me. But when I got back there was no reaction, just life as usual, and suddenly I understood what Lucian meant.

I’d have been happier if they’d all remained dead.
In fact had I taken wealth their deaths would have motivated me to become king of Albion and turn it into the most peaceful/prosperous kingdom possible, but instead I found myself faced with a desire to kill them for being apathetic ingrates.

You have a good point but for the sake of being able to do something fun after the end it's better to choose love/sacrifise

I just couldn't play on without my dog, the game seemed kind of empty without him.

For me loosing the dog would validate my desire to be good, make it more than just wanting to be cheered and worshipped, it's death adds noble motivation.

If you want to be good.

I enjoy games like fable/kotor/mass effect more when i play evil.
My brother says i'm immoral for doing so and that i will become a danger to society.
I always reply he's the danger by taking games so seriously.

Yeah, I understand the appeal, but it's just too easy y'know?

Where's the guardsmen death squads and elite bounty hunters?

Being a villain gets boring without a hero to fight.

I always thought that the evil options were too... blatant.

It's always the sadistic, kill everyone for pleasure kind of evil. Completely overt about it. What would be way more cool would be the manipulative, grand-machinations kind of evil.

Mass Effect was a little more subtle I guess, because the Renegade options were more about ruthlessly getting the job done, even though the goal in the end was (usually) good. Actually, when I played ME I would always chose the Paragon option in public and do Renegade when dealing with criminals in the alleys, lol.

Back on topic: I never got to play Fable 2 because it never came out for the PC, but I did enjoy the first one immensely. Am I missing an epic game? I wish I could afford these new consoles, lol.

I'm actually searching for a rpg for osx (not intel) or xbox(360) where there are no obvious evil or good choises. It's a bit annoying in ME that you have three choices in a conersation: a paragon one, a renegade one and a neutral answer. It's like you only have 3 ways to play the game.

Yes. The one thing about Fable 2 wast that I absolutely loved how the game play and fighting worked. I loved all of the things you could do and all of the quests were very fun. I simply wished that they would have had more. That was the one and only flaw.......that I wanted more.......dang nabit

I preferred the weapon choices and the environment more in fable 2 but fable 1 had a better story and antagonist!
I'm looking forward to fable 3, I just hope my computer can run it (as my xbox is now deceased from the bubonic plague).
