How do INTP get along with ESTP?

I was with an ESTP (pretty sure) female for a while, and I had the longest running conversation of my life, and I was interested in conversing till near the end (4hrs!). We were doing some work together. I just can't get over how much I enjoyed chatting.

Yup, I have a female friend who's ESTP. She talks A LOT. I think that she just has the ability to continue a conversation, no matter what. Where I might feel comfortable stopping or pause, she continues to drive on. And that's fine, I appreciate it. Sometimes it gets annoying when it's 6am and she's one of the last people at a party I threw... but not that annoying.

But yeah, ESTPs can really draw you into talking.

Willing ignorance seems to be a common trait amongst ESTPs. I have a female ESTP friend. Her luddite-like tendencies drive me insane, sometimes.

I have an ESTP friend that I actually end up spending more time with than anyone else in my free time. She has a sort of ron-romantic platonic crush on me that can't exactly be explained except through experience. She thinks that I'm brilliant which is fine by me, and we enjoy spending time together.

She uses me as an outlet for her need of intelligent conversation and I enjoy her company as I don't have to work as conversing with her- it's easy because she basically views my conversations as a challenge which she must meet unaided. It's a symbiotic relationship of sorts and I'm content with it.

Beware of sudden shocks with Panthers (ESTP). You may be surprised one day, or shocked or distraught.

My sister is an ESTP.

She WON'T SHUT UP. MY GOD.

But you know, the talkative ESTPs have their good qualities. She's really popular and has a lot of close friends too. She's got great fashion sense. She's excellent in math. She isn't too quick to judge people (although she frickin' judges me all the time!! She's probably a P leaning close to a J...)

It's really hard for me to get along with her though, especially because she's my sister and I live with her. I think she's weird because it seems as if she would do anything her friends would do (like what political group to support, what kind of shirt to buy, etc etc etc). She thinks I'm weird because I do what I want, when I want, and how I want, and don't usually care what others think. I also get annoyed because she talks way too much, and she hates how I'm so quiet (at least, quiet when people are talking small-talk) and introspective.

But yeah. If you really want to get along with ESTPs, you're going to have to be willing to be open to their personality. And try to find an ESTP who's willing to be open to your personality. I suggest finding one who seems easy to talk to, and would love to hear about any idea that's on your mind.

I have a good friend who's ESTP. She's soooooooo much fun. When she and I get together, it's a pretty crazy combination! We talk like a mile a minute.

She talks completely non-stop. My dad is an ISTJ and he can't take it LOL! One day he was visiting when she was over, and afterwards he said to me "Um, your friend, how can you take that!?". But I love her, she's so funny and always in a good mood. She's a bit younger than me so I feel a bit like she's my younger sister.

She's amazingly intelligent, she's doing her PhD at Stanford. She's one of the smartest people I know actually. She's really P though, a big slacker. She relies on her natural intelligence because she leaves everything to the last minute and then has hardly any time to do it. She can do crazy-talented stuff like play violin and piano at practically virtuoso-level and speedread.

Then I have another (self-proclaimed) ESTP sort-of friend who I can't stand (but I think she's actually an ESTJ, she's really opinionated which seems to me more of a J thing).

My closest friend is an ESTP but he also has a pretty strong N making things more exciting. He talks forever and to anyone, really fun to be around. Very uplifting when I go into some form of depression because he just seems to always know what to say. Only problems arise during a religious conversation but his P makes him a little bit open minded about some of my controversial ideas.

My least favorite person that I know is also an ESTP though. Just a total asshole because of his strong E making him unable to understand my introversion. The worst part is we are stand partners in orchestra and I must constantly deal with his insults about everything that he thinks is weird about me. I guess that could be a sign of J but everything besides that is unorganized, open-minded P.

ESTP's seem to be a love/hate thing based on how the ESTP is towards the obscurity of the INTP. They are always entertaining even if they hate you because of their social skills and the ones I know have a very good sense of humor.

I went on a date with an ESTP. He was talkative, and I was quiet, and I kinda understood his motives on the first date when he started talking about stuff that I actually didn't want to hear. That was also the last date.

He'd probably make an awesome friend. But I don't think I'd want to be with one.

I've found that I get along with alot of ESTP's. I find them to be really good work partners, because they are good at alot of my social weaknesses and I'm good at things they don't really care to do. I lived with one for about a year, him and I became very close. We would talk nutrition and philosophy. He had a practical focus on both topics, which is fine by me because it brings me back down to earth. I've worked with alot over the years as well and we click almost instantly. On the flip side I've met a few that were just plain stupid, and focused on nothing of interest to me.
