Despite a lot of my answers being sort of tied, I got pretty much this exact same result a year ago.

Tests should only be a hint but I guess you all know that. I'm still trying to figure out the last type in my tritype. It's so easy to get obsessed with this stuff :ahh:

There are a lot of resources out there, my favorite is 9types.

Type description compilations
Reciprocal psycho-behaviorial diagrams
Advanced Enneagram analysis (directional analysis)
More directional analysis

Looking through the directional analysis I think helps in discovering tritype, to an extent at least.

Took this test a little over a year ago and posted my results here. Last time I got 5-1-3. I think I have become a little more aware of my emotions in the last year and have tried to accept who I am more than manipulate tests to say who I am. I am much more honest with myself in answering these questions now than I was then. I know for this test I tried to be as honest as possible because I believe this is one of the better Enneagram personality test and I think I can take it more seriously this time around.

5-9-3: these Fives are naturally diplomatic, peaceful and somewhat charismatic. They care about harmony and balance and are a bit anxious of people’s rejection and disapproval. Very sentient and tactful, they know how to reach their objectives without causing much fuss around them – they go with the flow and adapt to people and situations in a facile manner. They’re the type of people that others don’t see coming, skillfully speculating opportunities to their advantage while keeping a low profile.
typical subtypes: self-preserving, social, 5w6
similar tritypes: 5-3-9, 9-5-3
flavours: tactful, well-mannered, collected and adaptable

I do however, think I am closer to:

5-3-9: these Fives might strike others as rather pleasant and cooperative persons, but they are usually more ambitious and purposeful than they let on. They are goal-oriented individualists who dream of achieving an impressive and long-lasting success in their field – they secretly desire becoming famous and leaving their mark on the world. These Fives are also more dependent on outer validation than others – they care more about their image and the way others perceive and react to them, therefore they might seem a little more conventional and mainstream in their behavior.
typical subtypes: social, self-preserving, balanced wings
similar tritypes: 5-9-3, 9-5-3
flavours: cunning, congenial, goal-oriented and flexible

Both suit me just fine though.

Apparently I'm a 531 Tritype.

5-3-1: one of the most cold-blooded and self-controlled of the Fives, this tritype is remarkably efficient, hard-working and competent, although a little bit anal as well. They demand recognition for their contributions and are fairly concerned with their image and intellectual value. Somewhat self-righteous and impatient with others, they are however pragmatic and tactful enough not to compromise their goals by being too inflexible. These Fives are very clever, self-confident, perfectionist, arrogant and glacial.
typical subtypes: social, self-preserving, 5w6
similar tritypes: 5-1-3, 3-5-1
flavours: cold, composed, efficient and self-important

Now, where is the tri type?

5-9-4: reclusive, modest, discreet and quite dreamy and unassertive, such Fives possess a vast imagination in which they spend most of their time among their theories, fantasies and vivid memories. They have a somewhat bohemian charm to them – they are relaxed, casual, creative and a bit reckless. Usually pleasant and undisturbed on the outside, they hide complex inner worlds in which reality interweaves with fantasy, real with imaginary, the objective with the subjective. These Fives are gentle, sensitive and avoidant and tend to express their anger in a passive-aggressive manner.
typical subtypes: self-preserving, sexual, 5w4
similar tritypes: 5-4-9, 9-5-4, 4-5-9
flavours: laid-back, unconventional, imaginative and random

5-4-9: shy, somewhat fragile and a bit romantic, such Fives tend to put on a congenial façade to hide their rich inner worlds from the society. They outwardly appear friendly but reserved, usually mysterious to other people who sense there is more depth and intensity hidden behind their amiable mask. These Fives have rich imaginations and love to immerse themselves in thoughts and fantasies. They are introspective, dreamy, creative and socially withdrawn, but also disorganized and painfully avoidant.
typical subtypes: self-preserving, sexual, 5w4
similar tritypes: 5-9-4, 9-5-4, 4-5-9
flavours: insightful, imaginative, enigmatic and unstructured

So basically I'm all Heads. Head > Head > Head o_O (or I could be wrong, if I'm a 549 like the wiki says, it's Head > Heart > Gut)

And since it's 5>9>4...

And according to the wiki I'm a 'contemplative' 549, which I don't think is helpful.

Whoever made this wasn't INTP for sure, there's too much Jness in the descriptions. MBTI still seems superior though, I don't think there's a typology method out there that can match its cognitive functions system. Go Jung :D

I disliked this test as there were too many questions were I agreed strongly with part of the question and disagreed strongly with another.

Type One: 6
Type Two: 4
Type Three: 9
Type Four: 22
Type Five: 42
Type Six: 27
Type Seven: 44
Type Eight: 17
Type Nine: 47

Though the type nine result suggests that I probably closer correspond with it than eigth particulary since both the bigger tests I conducted say so(I am a 5w6/4 or 7w6/8 not 9w8 for sure). (the thing about enneagram 8 vs 9 for me is that I challenge if I care and play peacemaker if I don't, but I rarely do care, personally I still think it's when I care that determines me over when I don't. I am very unsure here).

Enneagram is far more difficult to determine for me than MBTI. And don't get me started on tritypes, I would need a deep analysis of every 7/5-8/9-4 combination to determine that.

Ah, who am I kidding that's exactly what I will do(leaning towards 784(messenger) atm though 594(contemplative) also looks accurate. From what little info I have 584(scholar) looks(relatively) inaccurate but not impossible and 794(gentle spirit) is just wrong. It also fits with my personal opinion that both contemplative and messenger fits me slightly better than scholar.

I think the most accurate would be 784 when I care more, 594 when I care less.(I don't care about things more often than not but when I do I get very enthusiastic, which fits well with this dual typing) and 584 when I am upset or sad(rare). I just can't make any one description fit me as a whole, besides there aren't cognitive functions these types of descriptions are bound to change based on my mood.

Before my depression I certainly was 784 more frequently and I enjoy it During my depression I was 584, I still am whenever I get upset/sad. Still I have mellowed out since then and gotten more contemplative about things and find myself a 594 often(but the other 2 descriptions also fit me).

The other 2 tests I did:

http://www.eclecticenergies.com/enneagram/test.php
Type 7 - 10
Type 5 - 8.7
Type 9 - 8.7
Type 6 - 6.7
Type 1 - 6.7
Type 4 - 6
Type 8 - 5.7

Wing 7w6 - 13.4
Wing 7w8 - 12.9
Wing 9w1 - 12.1
Wing 5w6 - 12.1
Wing 5w4 - 11.7
Wing 6w7 - 11.7
Wing 9w8 - 11.6
Wing 6w5 - 11.1
Wing 1w9 - 11.1
Wing 8w7 - 10.7
Wing 4w5 - 10.4
Wing 8w9 - 10.1

http://www.enneagramquiz.com/quiz.html
I got 7w6 primary(head) 8w7 secondary(gut) and 4w5 as tertiary(heart).

As I understand it, I've separated the numbers to

Heart:
Type Two: 17
Type Three: 35
Type Four: 17

Head:
Type Five: 53
Type Six: 19
Type Seven: 31

Gut:
Type Eight: 28
Type Nine: 51
Type One: 40

Your probable Enneagram Type
Your main type is 5.
Considering the wings you should be a 5w6.

So head wins the lead, but gut wins overall. So my strongest makes me a 591 (Head, Gut, Gut) or to match the categories, I'm a 593, or The Thinker.
