Have you considered eating other's leftovers in a restaurants.
Say, an unknown guy next to you on your table buys a bucket of chicken nuggets and leaves after eating it halfway.
Would you eat it if you are alone? Have you done that before?
Would you eat something which was leftover at your table when you enter the restaurant?
its not like people poison their food, and people dont mind eating off the plates of friends..
Your thoughts

I have a friend who eats my leftovers. I can never finish a meal anywhere so I'll normally spread the meal over the next two to three days. If anybody else wants it though, I'm quite happy to share.

A bucket of chicken nuggets?
Don't those normally come in a little box?

... actually, I'd run that as an experiment. Leave food on the table. Have a friend nearby recording what happens next on his phone. Run the footage. See what people do.

People are sometimes ill, though. I wouldn't do it unless I was unable to get food elsewhere because of that. Also, what if people's buggers, nosehair, eyelashes, hairs fell in? Or maybe picked their nose and then touched the food.

I'd probably eat it if it was a friend's leftovers, though (depending on what he ate). And definitively if it was my partner's.

I love Hep C! It isn't uncommon for people to leave the bathroom without washing. I don't share food with friends unless it is properly seperated in a way that prevents contamination.

Restaurant food isn't healthy to begin with.

I found half a melon properly wrapped in foil, as they sell it in the mall in front of which i found it. I didn't take it home, being afraid of how old it might be.

I have always had high levels of disgust, when it comes to food being offered by "strangers", such as my own parents or worse, anyone else. I would never eat from the plate of a friend, unless it's friends with benefits maybe.

Only if I was desperate to eat, and the social consequences weren't too dire.

Those chips look nice.

They smell good too.

Nah, I think the risk of getting diseases outweigh getting free food.

Besides, I'm usually the one who finishes my relatives' (especially the younger ones) or my gf's unfinished meals.

If we're close relatives I don't really mind. Anything else I prefer not.

Some cultures share food that is in the middle of the table. I consider this sharing food.

Boodle Fight! No utensils (just fingers) and no plates. Everything is in the middle of the table.

In high school... This was all I thought about! I've always consumed more than others I know.
I would say

...I'll go with the disease answer, though. Yeah. Disease is bad.
