I want an Island all to myself near the equator. Preferrably with one of those really cool cave spaces to live in. Like this :

I want this on a island. It needs to be a farily large island so I can keep my horses with me. I'll be rich enough to own my own satellite for phone and internet. I'll be protected from weather-even hurricanes and other crazy natural disasters.

I'll have a smaller island nearby for my "manservants" - they will all be goodlooking and hard working and most of them will be mute. That way I dont have to clean the cave or cut the hay or harvest the food.

That way I will have plenty of time to mastermind my plan to take over the world

When I was younger, I used to imagine myself escaping to an uninhabited, tropical island. You know, something with a pleasant 70s climate year round instead of one of those tiny, sandy wasteland hell-holes that reality provides.

I've come to value social interaction to a degree as I age. I still don't like being around people for the sake of being around people. I do, however, need some interaction with a small group of people I am intimately familiar with.

So, what is my ideal place to live? I'm really not sure. As hard as it is to make new friends, I'd be inclined to say I'm limited to where people I already know are located for the most part.

You could always bring your close connections with you and let them live on the other island. Mabye they could work for you in exchange for supporting them and giving them a place to live. We could have a cluster of islands where we could boat over to each other's islands and hang out. I bet we would still spend alot of our time on the computer.

"I still believe in paradise. But now at least I know it's not some place you can look for. Because it's not where you go, it's how you feel for a moment in your life. If you find that moment, it lasts forever."

I would probably live in a large underground cavern by myself. Preferably a cold and dimly lit one. Oh how I love the cold... All I need is an internet connection to observe the advances of society over the years, and I'm good to go.

My best experiences have been on mountains and I'm naturally acclimatised. I've been up to 5500m without feeling as much as a headache. I don't know if living there would spoil it for me though, where could I escape to if I lived in my escape? :D

P.S. I think most of you who advocate distancing yourself from society would get lonely. I always would like to be somewhere with good company.

I think that's the point: Embracement. It's why I'd prefer a rainy city, at least.

If Tasmania was summer all year round, then Tassie. Well, you said 'dream'... But I'd miss the great music and comedy etc you can find in Melb. Hmmm.... I'm pretty happy where I am.
