Does anyone else prefer songs in foreign languages?

Most songs are about love and other boring topics. Consequently I have a preference for either instrumental music or foreign language songs.

Recently I discovered a japanese musical unit called 'Nowisee' (pronounced 'noise') and something about their sound makes me start to tear up. Which is silly because I understand NOTHING of what they are singing. And now for the first time I actually want to know what their songs are about, but I have been unable to find any translations.

Strong preference for other languages. Most lyrics are garbage and distracting, and can ruin an otherwise strong piece. It's often preachy or inane. I knee-jerk push against this sort of influence which makes it hard to enjoy.

It's also a lot more diverse when you get different cultural elements, which is a second strong theme in my musical taste.

Edit: This band probably demonstrates it best for me. It's metal in punjabi/hindi which I am in love with, but the moment the second singer starts in English the song falls off so hard for me (and it's a recurring theme in all their music). It doesn't look like the lyrics are so inspiring outside of this, but the judgment lens is suspended for them and I can just appreciate the sound without all the baggage.

It doesn't make a difference to me either way. I rarely listen to or can discern lyrics when listening to music, I just hear the voice as another instrument in the mix. So what language they're speaking doesn't make too much difference, it's just another type of sound to listen to.

it depends. i think i find greater beauty in it, tho less quantifiable meaning. i def do not listen to music in my own language, or at least have none in current collection i'm rebuilding from net.
there are some peacefull and emotional works out there tho above the party prattle and dumbed down love lymmericks, so i'm kinda ashamed i listen to way more english shite. hmmm will look into it, revisit some artits and poets and maybe discover others, haven't kept up with the times and know on local levels there are many great non-normative creators, both current and non-contemporary.

so technically all my music with lyrics is foreign

i listen and i zone into the aetherworld

i listen and my stride becomes strong, or way back when, i would throw the tractor into 12th gear on the dirt road and hop on by, a screaming maniac

i listen and i melt into a soft crystalline realm of unforming thought and a quivering mania that wrenches the brain from the now and into that state of voidal all-existence
