Worry about things months in advance? I find myself constantly worrying. What if X happens, and what would that do to Y?

Stuff like that. Anyone else here like that or am I weird in that regard?

I'm easy-going. Always have been, always will be. If X happens, then I'll deal with it when it happens. I have no reason to suppose it will, so I'll burn that bridge after I cross it.

I worry too. Probably due to non-stop thinking, where I tend to lose sleep over thinking.

My mother interrogated me once, about my terrible sleep pattern, she kept asking "but why don't you sleep?!" and really it was because I think too much.

Only downside is I've never been much of a future-thinking planner

I rarely plan. I think of the future true, I am sure we all do, but I don't worry about it, when the time comes, I'll deal with it, my exgf didn't like that at all since she worried non-stop about stuff that I brush off like it is nothing, which is pretty much everything.

If anyone has any advice on how to plan things, I'd be thankful to get the information, I know eventually when I get my degree I'll have to be able to plan, so I'll struggle to learn a skill.

I never think of the future until the last second. I think it's a huge flaw. Now going over the past thinking of all I did wrong, I do that all the time.

Worrying is way different than planning. I always worry but my plans never go much further than a half formed, fanciful idea.

The future will have uncontrollable shit, why bother planning? But that doesn't stop my nonstop worrying about what might happen and what I would do then and cycling between multiple possibilities and their similarities/differences and what other people will think about it and such.

@xbox. Yeah, no one in my family seems to get that when I go to bed is several hours before I actually fall asleep.

I keep a mental eye on future events but I don't actually 'worry' about them. Especially considering I couldn't take decisive action, even if I wanted to.

This is probably the outlook I should adopt. Some things in the past have influenced what will happen in the future, and there is absolutely nothing I can do about it.
