Ut seems to be on a special on steam so i'm posting this. along with borderlands 1/2 and far cry 2 most enjoyable fps i've ever played, and it tops them(not story wise, but imo DRG feel very immersive despite the lack of forced narratie.. this game challenges you. everything can be destroyed. it's great.

Basically, you're a dwarf, you plunge into a planet in a rocket drill, kill bugs, complete your goal. if you can.

Fun game. It's basically dwarf fortress in 1st person when you only command one squad and tell it to dig into adamantine veins or hostile cave civs :p

Rook and I played on an Asian server with a mid-level player and some god tier blinged out Asian player, good fun, kept running out of ammo though which I think was a consequence of our guns having a lot less punch than would be expected on the maps we were playing.

i can't remember what levels we were playing at but bug health directly scales with danger level as far as i understand it, and are our final mission being an elim.... dreadnoughts can be ammo sinks, especially with regulars and hive tyrants cos you can only harm them once you crack their shell/make them summon hiveguards and expose their protuberances.

if you get them vulnerable but then waste that chance, all the ammo used to weaken them is a loss. so if shell cracked but 3/4 of team is down, and last dwarf scrambles to revive, then dreadnought reforms defenses and nothing much changed.
