You probably won't find any traditional death metal without vocals, but there are more and more instrumental progressive/tech/math/death metal bands turning up.

As Wormwood mentioned above, Blotted Science is an excellent example, featuring Ron Jarzombek (Spastic Ink, Watchtower) and Alex Webster from Cannibal Corpse.

Behold...the Arctopus is another one. They go pretty nuts with dissonance and can be a little hard to endure at times. The guy who plays the Warr guitar is amazing.

If you like Meshuggah and would like to hear that type of sound ("djent", as it is know called) sans vocals, there is the instrumental band Animals As Leaders. They have a really cool sound that reminds me of a blend of Meshuggah and Cynic. Periphery also re-released their self-titled album without the vocals, which is pretty cool, and sort of the same style, but maybe a little more intense.

Zebulon Pike is a really interesting instrumental progressive doom metal type of band. It's hard to describe their sound, but it is very unique. To me, they are almost trance-like. The two guitarists often play intertwining patterns while the bass and drums hold down a slow, but intense and heavy groove. They are hypnotizing live, and absolutely crushing, with powerful drums and heavily distorted bass. Unfortunately, these characteristics are rather subdued on their studio recordings.

I can't really think of any others off the top of my head and there are many more, but they are pretty much all going to be prog-oriented.

haha, Periphery's clean-core vocals were the one thing that turned me off about the band.

Their guitarist Bulb has a ton of random solo material, some of which is worth having

Yeah, it seems that most people hate Periphery's vocals. I think it's awesome that they released the album without the vocals. All the little intricacies shine through without them. Besides, vocals aren't really necessary for their music anyway.
