As with most upgrades, no reason to expect anything marvellous, nor any expectation anything bad shall occur.

Seems OK. I upgraded the PHP to 8 a few weeks back and gave in time to settle; PHP is generally annoying.

This upgrade was done completely mechanically through an upgrade button [ admin/tools/check for updates ] whereas it used to be downloading the ( now ) 14 MB package, unzipping and overwriting via FTP the installation.


BTW Colonel Aki's magnificent Touhou 'Life of Maid' still continues, starting around 2008.

Ever since the Upgrade, whenever I open my browser and open tabs with threads from this site. they all say "Oops!" with a button. When I press the button and it takes me to this thread, then when I refresh the other tabs, they all go to the correct pages.

It's like there's some script that keeps forcing me to read this thread first, which was done for an upgrade notification, but someone forgot to tell my computer to stop doing that.

Does anyone know how to fix the problem?
