In a depressing world of extremely stupid humans
Well hello my fellow INTP's. You can call me Kira. I am 27 and reside in "The Heartland" for the time being. I found out I am an INTP last year. Since then, I have done some research (periodically) into this personality type. The more I read, the more I identify with the INTP type. It has been an amusing adventure to say the least.

Last summer I met a male INTP; we decided to start a relationship and have been in a daily state of awe and intrigue ever since. I have never dated anyone of the same personality type before. This has been quite an interesting endeavor for both of us thus far. Frequently we finish each others' sentences. We also say, verbatim, what the other is thinking before they have even spoken these thoughts. It feels like we have a telepathic connection at times. It is eerie and absolutely fantabulous at the same time! It has been a constant amusing journey. We are both curious to see how things unfold in the future. With both of us being INTP's, I find that we have a special deep understanding of the other. This has eliminated many relationship obstacles and issues I have encountered in the past.

This forum has been a solid resource and very insightful for me. I finally decided to join and hope to get to know several of you. Typically I am a very reserved and private person. I lack social skills and despise stupid people. Many say I am a Misanthrope. Which reminds me...I love reading and recommend that all of you read "A Misanthrope's Guide to Life." It is such an awesome book...fraking hilarious!

Anywho, I ramble...I apologize in advance. I have a tendancy to jump from one thought to the next rather quickly. My brain processes much more rapidly than my hands can type, which results in thoughts being left out of my typing. So yeah...Hi!

Your mother was a hamster, and your father smells of elderberries!

Now go away or I shall taunt you a second time.

Something I noticed.

Intros with a lot of content are more innaproachable and impersonal than those with limited intro content. The latter are easier to break the ice with, as the former leaves you speechless with a bunch of random info which you don't know what to do with. At least to me.

Welcome to the forum.

Welcome to the forum, Kira. The whole INTPs meeting and finishing each others sentences thing is actually pretty cool. I agree it's eerie, or can be, but the whole idea of having someone who is able to think along with you is amazing. I know when I first met my biological father (INTP trying too hard to be an extrovert), we experienced the same thing.

ESC, I think it really depends on what the longwinded intro thread is discussing. If it's something that can be related to, it makes icebreaking a little easier. If it's completely random personal info, it can make it impossible.

@ Dapper Dan - I fart in your general direction.

ESC - I apologize if my introduction was too long. I tend to not typically share information with outsiders. However, considering this is a forum of like minded individuals, I figured most of you would understand or relate.

Mello - He and I began dating the first week of August 2011. So...a little over 7 months.

gruesombrat - You know exactly what I am talknig about then. Fascinating thing it is...eh?

Adaire - Thank you, you seem interesting as well. Actually, all of you seem interesting and I am glad to meet everyone thus far. ^_^ And thanks for the adorable picture. Adorable kittehs are adorable.

There's nothing to apologize for. I just felt kind of bombarded and noticed the introduction seemed hard to approach on a personal level.
