Think about what You see

Think about Your Future.

Where do you want to go in life?

What do you love?

WHAT IS YOUR PERSONAL BLISS? I'm interested in hearing. Personally, mine is my bed. Just laying in bed, dreaming, whether day dreaming :king-twitter: or Lucid Dreaming :elephant:

that's my bliss..

What's yours?

To become a waking lucid dreamer would be pretty sweet. Then I could kill you all and persuade myself you're just projections of myself so it's ok.

That, or good company.

Sometimes in the middle of a winter night I will go for a walk underdressed.

I instantly begin to shiver, start regretting the decision, and hating every passing second with increasing passion.

After about an hour or two, I stop shivering and can suddenly feel relaxed. All the humans hiding away, their solar blanket tucked under the earth, And I can clearly see the night & know that whichever direction I look pitches out farther than I can comprehend.

I feel the biting wind on my unprotected face, and through all of this I can get the sense that I, and everything around me is unequivocally insignificant.

For me, it's laying on the grass, with nothing but a starry sky above me.

There, I'll be free of worries, wondering what lies on the far side of the galaxy.

OK, two things that I notice right away in this, hidden in the spoiler.
First, you must live in either Canada or one of the northern European countries (Norway, Finland, etc.). Second, when you stop shivering and feel relaxed, you are suffering from hypothermia. This is not bliss, it is the first step towards freezing to death. Get inside immediately and warm up. I used to do the same and ended up with mild frostbite numerous times as a result of it, since very shortly after the relaxation comes a mild disorientation. When you're out walking, especially if your walk takes you more than 5-10 km from home, that disorientation will get you lost.
As far as my personal bliss, a bike ride. Anywhere, anytime, doesn't matter. To be out and about, in a vehicle with a silent drive, and no emissions, able to go wherever you want with complete freedom to go as far as you want... that is heaven to me.

JarNew, you think you can just waltz back in without telling us where you've been for the past while?

Not having another slab leak.

Right now we are ri-piping the whole house because we just had our second slab leak in three weeks. I'd be pretty happy just to have fewer plumbers in the house, even though the two working here are very pleasant people.

For those who don't know what a slab leak is, a slab is a concrete foundation under a building, and if the pipes are under that, and spring a leak, you have to get to them with a jackhammer. The water comes up through cracks in the concrete, ruining your floors and anything on them. Drywall has to come off to get to pipes in walls, furniture has to be moved, and I know I'm not the only INTP with lots of stuff around, so all that has to be put somewhere else, often for weeks.

Re-piping the house through the attic and walls will prevent this from ever happening again, so in about 3 weeks when the house is back to normal, I'm going to try for bliss.

Personally, I wouldn't have tried hypothermia for bliss.

Just because I'm freezing to death doesn't mean it's not my bliss.

I once stuck a grub in a bowl of hummus and it suffocated itself eating into it.

Sorry if it seemed like I was saying it's not your bliss. When I said that "that's not bliss, it's the first step towards death", I simply meant that death is not my idea of bliss...

Oh what?

I'm aware of the oncoming ice age, I'm just choosing to embrace it.

No point stressing my self out :king-twitter:

Interesting stuff about the piping that really sucks

Bliss...

Drive around all night, stand on the overpass and watch the sun rise. Vast, desolate, peaceful city.

But sometimes, I just want to set it all alight and watch it blaze.

For me, bliss would be a dream-filled stasis that lasted an eternity. Endless dreaming and journeys without having to care about anything.

I think having the option to wake would be just as good though, one's mind can only dream about so much before repitition occurs and I'd want to do something with all of them...

I'm not sure, but it's rather chilly.
Walk the world with naught but a backpack, enough money so I can go without worrying about food, and maybe even someone to accompany me.

In the past, one of my most memorable experiences was driving on a very nice, mild, starry night down a deserted stretch of highway (no people for miles through much of it, no traffic for half hour), and kind of just admiring the stars, when I got one of the most powerful sensations of connectedness with EVERYTHING. I almost had to pull off the side of the road.

Common moments of bliss .. when I'm just in a zone .. fishing one of my favorite rivers under ideal circumstances (don't see anyone, nice weather, good fishing conditions, etc.). Another joy is getting more and more rare .. conversations with people who understand half of what I talk about! Have you ever seen the episode of House where a wicked smart guy has been taking something to inhibit his intelligence to be happy? I'm not a stereotypical genius by any stretch, but I do relate!

The future is not a painting you can jump into where everything stays the same - at least for me. Reality is always changing, the concept of bliss doesn't exist.

I wish I was ignorant.

No, you wish to be stupid.

There's plenty of ignorant people out there who are perfectly miserable.

I got a dose of being stupid yesterday, due to some mild sleep deprivation... actually, I guess it would be better referred to as average, rather than stupid... If I never have to put up with that again, it will be too soon.

Lying in a field in summer, listening to music.
Sitting in a car/bus/train at night and watching lights go by.
Beautiful scenery.
Beautiful, playful eyes.

I can go on. Lots of things are pure bliss. They're all better when shared with someone who you appreciate though. This kind of stuff really brings up the more ENFP-side in me.

Think about what You see

Depends what I'm looking at.

Think about Your Future.
Undecided. Uncertain. Without promise.

Where do you want to go in life?
I don't think there's much point talking about where you're going, more importantly is where you'll end up.

I want to wander.

What do you love?

I can't really answer that.

WHAT IS YOUR PERSONAL BLISS? I'm interested in hearing. Personally, mine is my bed.

I don't know, but it would be a lot closer if you stopped using so many smilies.
