What do you get when you cross Shoegaze with Black Metal and add some Post-Rock for good measure? Well, I don't know - but people gave it the rather amusing tag Blackgaze. However, the result of this unholy communion is the most beautiful music known to man.

Easily. There are a several subgenres which are inherently racist. For example, hatecore, and certain types of Power Electronics.

Hell yeah. Those bands have really good atmospheres. Nuances are very subtile in their tracks and you have to hear them several times to hear things that you didn't notice before.
However, as long as youtube reduces sound quality and turns the stereo music into mono, I'd advice people to download the mp3 files to listen it.

This one is not blackgaze, but it's atmospheric black metal (alterning trve black and pure atmospheric tracs) :

I recently discovered this band Petrychor and they play something like Post-Rock/BM-hybrid and I have to say it's extremely good for a first EP. It's not really shoegaze-y like the other bands I mentioned but don't be afraid, I'd even go so far and say Dryad (I Make My Home) is the best BM song I listened to since Tapestry Of The Starless by Ne Obliviscaris.

Here some new stuff, namely Dopamine. Blackgaze from a rather unlikely country: China. I am aware that China has quite the Black Metal scene but this kind of music is something I'd rather expect from an American band.
