As I'm not an American I'm less excited about this, granted it still looks like a great game, it's just that a lot of the poignancy of the core themes is lost on me, whereas I felt quite at home with Rapture and its amoral ideals.

i feel like you dont have to be an american at all to grasp the themes and brilliance ive heard about thus far. In FACT, id argue you have a BETTER chance of seeing it for what it is.

I haven't played infinite, but I have played the first two. Those were some really good games. Have you played them yet?

yepppers. and what i appreciate soooo much, is that we have this highly respected team that works on bioshock...that DO THINGS THE RIGHT WAY. they dont push out titles every half year...they give us time, quality, and amazement.

I STILL HAVE TO BUY THIS!!!!!!!

I feel the exact same way. BioShock 1 was one of the best games that I have ever played, and was one of the last games I played on Xbox 360 before I quit doing such things.

BioShock 2 was a decent sequel.

Both of these games give out just enough freedom to keep me doing the main quest whilst still retaining my interest in the game.

I'm not sure how much I will like BioShock: Infinite being that it is the first installation of the series that takes place outside of Rapture, but I think deep inside that it'll be great.

It's definitely going to be the game to get me re-addicted to Xbox >.<

Edit: you may enjoy playing Dishonored. That game was like a Bioshock-Assassin's Creed hybrid. I enjoyed it immensely.

bioshock 2 was solid, but definitely didnt have that 'feeling' that i got when i first played bioshock 1. mainly because the beauty and awe of the environment wasnt as new, but they definitely made the big daddy thing work.It was just this, 24/7 level of immersion, the way the story unfolded with the audio tapes...god, it just was so well crafted.

i feel like this new setting of columbia will definitely give me that good ol feeling once again.

Oh God, this is probably one of the best stories I have come across in a game. At first, I was a little confused and later thought it was nonsensical, but after trying to explain the plot holes and looking up explanations I didn't quite catch fully in game, I realized there really aren't any and what the infinite means.

Another game I played from beginning to end. I was up until 8am finishing it up. :) Just wow.

Edit: well, to be fair, there is a plot hole if you accept that "choosing not to make a choice" can be a choice.
