I'd be interested to see what other people get on this (mine are below, done just now, it seems to think I'm mean :( ), and also any views on its correlation with MBTI.

What I liked about it is you can agree to various levels, instead of choosing between two extremes which I think is somewhat artificial.

Btw, they ask a lot of personal information at the end; you don't have to answer it to get your results (I didn't).

I saw a chart that showed a trend between the MBTI and the Big 5. The data showed that the Big 5 were just the MBTI plus neuroticism. Who has that image?

Neat - another test! :)

Results
- Openness: 93% - You enjoy having novel experiences and seeing things in new ways.
- Conscientiousness: 58% - You are neither organized or disorganized.
- Extraversion: 5% - You probably enjoy spending quiet time alone.
- Agreeableness: 87% - You are good-natured, courteous, and supportive.
- Neuroticism: 22% - You are generally relaxed.

Comparison with INTP
- Openness matches 'N'
- Conscientiousness slightly mismatches a moderate 'P' - I don't see a contradiction tho
- Introversion matches 'I'
- Agreeableness mismatches a moderate 'T' - which reflects a difficulty I have with MBTI, where T seems to go at the cost of F (I don't agree)

@chocolate:
- some MBTI tests allow you to partially (dis)agree. I suspect test & typology are separate things
- something's odd about your images (they all say: 'neutral' :))

Openness: 76
Conscientiousness: 41
Extraversion: 12
Agreeableness: 10 (Damn, I knew I could be mean, but I figured I'd get at least 20 here:rolleyes:)
Neuroticism: 55

This is fairly accurate, although I'd contest I can still be quite sympathetic and forgiving, and perhaps a little more neurotic at times.

I think it depends on how you interpret that result. To me, judging from the questions pertaining to agreeableness, it seems to have more to do with simply not caring about social norms and all that jazz. Yet, the results page seems to suggest a low score means you are complete ass.

And it's funny, 'cause I'm both very critical of others and quite forgiving of them....if that's even possible.

Yes! I am the same way, and I baffle myself! I am very hard on myself and others, expecting everyone to at least want to be nice/better/fair, even if they don't always achieve that. But I can't hold a grudge to save my life. I'm not sure which is more accurate: do I like people or dislike them?

hmmm, perhaps you dislike people as they currently are, but see enough potential in them to forgive them. Or maybe you see yourself in them somewhat, so that it would seem hypocritical to hold a grudge.

Hmmm. Those seem plausible, there is probably an element of both.

I am thinking now, about your first one: I have a tendency to forget the bad things that people do and only remember what I like about them. Perhaps it is this fantasy I have also that disappoints me when someone does not live up to it...

I did the one on facebook and got:

Openness 94%
Conscientiousness 21%
Extraversion 9%
Agreeableness 68%
Neuroticism 51%

I don't like it..

The test I took also put me as an INFP.

Oh yeah the facebook one, I did that too a while ago. It put me as ENFP, but I don't remember the numbers (I'm not on it anymore).

my mind...
Openness to Experience/Intellect
You enjoy having novel experiences and seeing things in new ways. (Your percentile: 95)

Conscientiousness
You probably have a messy desk! (Your percentile: 3)

Extraversion
You tend to shy away from social situations. (Your percentile: 31)

Agreeableness
You are neither extremely forgiving nor irritable. (Your percentile: 50)

Neuroticism
You probably remain calm, even in tense situations. (Your percentile: 21)

Seems somewhat accurate, though not as sophisticated at the MBTI. I don't think this test very accurately represents who I am as a person (i.e. it's a very simplistic view of me). But it's still interesting--I find it hard to resist quizzes... :)

It is weird to me that this is considered the most widely accepted and used model of personality. The MBTI seems to have a lot more depth, IMO.

Lost, after wandering irresponsibly away from the
Okay, let's see...

Openness--88 You enjoy having novel experiences and seeing things in new ways.
Conscientiousness--1 You probably have a messy desk! (Woot!)
Extraversion-- 7 You probably enjoy spending quiet time alone.
Agreeableness-- 6 You find it easy to criticize others. (Your next comment is grammatically incorrect, by the way. Just so you know.)
Neuroticism--49 You aren't particularly nervous, nor calm. Or calm. Honestly. English these days.

@concojones: In MBTI, T doesn't go at the cost of F-- you always have both, one is just dominant. INTPs have Ti dominant and Fe fourth; INTJs have Te and Fi. (In theory.) The preferences and the functions are different things, so that might be where the confusion is springing from. Some of the tests do make it seem as if they're polar opposites, but that's just them trying to find out what your preference is. Everyone uses all four judging processes in different situations.

Neuroticism, I think, is linked to N: it's all the possibilities of what could go horribly wrong and what the consequences could be that makes us worry about things, I think, and that's in the territory of Ne/i. This is an interesting test. but I think the MBTI has more depth and more flexibility. That and this one doesn't really tell you anything you don't already know about yourself.
