Say I've got a work or school project to do...which personality type is best suited to working closely with INTPs? I prefer working alone, but sometimes, you have no choice.

I may have to do some programming assignments in my intro to CS class with a partner. I'm thinking an INTJ would be best...or maybe an ISTP? Your thoughts?

How are you today
The problem is finding a partner willing to do all the work but at the same time smart enough.
ESFJ would volunteer to finish the project themselves, but might not be competent. (No offense ESFJs)
A second INTP would be more than competent but the two of you could slack off.
So somewhere in between. ENTJ would work.

I would say ENTP, INTJ, INTP, ISTP... I don't know about the others, but I do lack faith in SF's.

If it's a her, INFJ. If it's a male, then an INFP. They'd both stand up to my rambling Ne-Ti.

:D

But if it's like a not a for a fun type of activity I think I think RB has it right. That or INTJs. But I'd imagine we'd argue a lot over pointless crap. NTJs sort of seem to live off of that stuff, though I guess it could be fun if we were on the same level. If it's like an important project kind of thing that has a deadline due I think the Jness would sort of help out.

You get to choose? Do you know people of every type? Have you spotted INFJs or ISTPs in the class and are hoping to claim them before someone else in the class does? If someone chooses the INTJ partner you wanted can you work in groups or do you know a few other INTJs that would be down? Are you certain? What if the person of X type turned out to be a different type? I will suggest the first few posts generally covered it. In addition, I'd say ENFJ but keep it strictly that; their "intellectual" interests or rigor probably won't run as deep as yours if that is what you value, yet they would be happy to be included in communion, in theory.

Finding an ENTJ in CS class is not likely though. Can't imagine CS would be particularly attractive to them. INTJ and ISTP seem like best bets. INTPs are too damn verbose and the brainstorming would be a nightmare. I think INTPs would make excellent aide-de-camp for ENTJs tho.

i wouldn't go by type for those things, other than to speculate theoretically.

maybe the socionic mentor circle-jerk INTP>ISTJ>ISFP>INFJ>INTP could be a good team?
