I want to get more into science, because it interests me, but I'm quite unknowledgeable. Any suggestions?
It depends on what you're interested in. All disciplines in general at first? I would try watching science podcasts where people sit and talk about the topics.
Personally, I'd go straight to the local college and enroll in basic courses. You can't go wrong with a basic first level course in:
Chemistry
Physics
Geology
Biology
Take one of each. I'd start with Chemistry, then Physics, then Geology, then Biology. Then branch out into Astronomy, etc.
There is nothing better than to have an actual academic foundation of science. They all build to the next. Math fits in there, but I find math rather tedious. Take math if you need a brush up (or if you like it). But the above disciplines will teach their own math within the course.
