Wonderful discovery. It would strongly slow down the spread of malaria if such bacteria can be spread among a human population. Malaria would adapt, however, so it wouldn't be the end of it.

The fact that its effective because of the free radicals though could case a problem though as they are thought to case ageing and could possible cause increased aging in those who have the bacteria. although we would need to see just how much of an affect it will have. The fact that it has a good chance of not working in the end makes it not that necessarily worth it in the end.

Great news. I wonder how they're going to expose the mosquito to that bacteria since it's from the mosquito's microbial flora.

... I don't think they intend to expose humans to that bacteria, Abe and Lord.
