People who haven't necessarily done anything noteworthy to the world at large, and probably won't show up in the history books a millennium from now, but who express a lifestyle or philosophy that betrays unique and perceptive insight into the state of the world and their position in it? For instance - to use an example relevant to intpforum - the forumer (whose thread I can't find right now) who asked forum for advice on future directions after testing out of high school.

Recommend some reading/viewing material, or share stories?

What of the people who have done noteworthy things but haven't had it noted. Behind the scenes maintenance kind of thing.

Also why is the averageness of a person depicted by whether or not they've done anything noteworthy or not? Surely there are just some 'average' people who've just been in the right place, right time and done these great feats.

Today I'll argue for equality of people. Why not?

I am sorry - it may not have been the best choice of words. I meant 'not noteworthy' in the sense that you said, and didn't intend to imply that 'they haven't done anything important'. Behind-the-scenes maintenance is a great way to put it.

I used 'average' in the same sense as above, because I needed something concise to title the topic with - no other implication was intended. I agree that there's no necessary correlation between the averageness of a person and what they've done.
