Arcade Scores

Is there a reason that the arcade scores seem to reset themselves after a certain amount of days/weeks? Is there a way to make them stay what they are in terms of top 3 highscores and actual highscores?

In the Arcade Panel it is set as out of the box with default options:

there are options for Updating
a/High Scores b/Best result c/League.

Method of recording a user's score ( It is recommended to enable autopruning if set to save every score! ) = User's Highest Score / can be set to Save All Scores

Auto prune scores ? Yes
Auto prune scores after = 30 days
Has no effect if auto prune is turned off or set to 0.


I can alter any of these if you wish, carelessly, since I have no knowledge of the arcane mysteries of the Arcade: but you would have to say which you think preferable.

there are also some games where the scoring has to be set low...

I assume this is in reference to the High Score Type for each Game

Highscore type
high = highest score is champ
low = lowest score is champ

Imagining that any admin will consider typing through each game to reset the values after research to find out the best mode individually, instead of leaving them as the game installed itself, must forever remain a fond dream.

Apparently to keep scores beyond 30 days, auto prune should be set to 'no'.

I like that the champs change. It keeps me trying to go back and regain what I had and also encourages play of games where someone scored ridiculously high 3 months ago, to try to at least get the highscore for a month.

I like that champs change too, but I would rather it happen because their score was beaten than because of an auto prune.

I would recommend saving the top 3 or top 5 scores, and to not have auto prune (or to autoprune every 6 to 12 months).

I don't know if this would come down to a vote or not, but that is what I would desire to see happen. (Please.)
