I don't think any people here like to watch anime, and to be honest, I have seen my fair share of different shows, some that were worth watching, but the majority is a just a time consumer.
Anyhow, there is one show to note as being the "best" I have ever seen, and I started to question how INTP's would view this show. Since we love finding the Truth in things, we think alot, and theories and such ponder us, this show would fit in perfect.
Despite it being a anime show, i prefer you guys watch it, its very interesting and it's not one of those lovely dovey type of animes, its very serious and debatable.

Here is a review as well as a site to watch it, note also that there is a english version, but i prefer the jap version.

review:http://www.animecorporation.com/reviews/death_note/

Jap version: http://www.zomganime.com/anime/death-note/

So if your bored out of your mind, and you can't seem to get your thoughts focused on something, here is a splended idea to pass the time, literally.

Also, for those who have watched it, what are your thoughts?
And do you think L is a INTP or an INTJ??

haha... my avatar used to be L, when I was under a different name. Anyway: yes, many people here have seen death note, and there have been several threads on it.

I think the general consensus is that L was a pretty clear INTP, while Light was an INTJ.

If you liked the anime, I would also recommend watching the last 20 minutes or so of the second movie. Watching the whole thing is not worth your time, but they dramatically changed the ending, and (imo) made it much cooler, more satisfying, and reasonable.

Instead of killing off L and brining that whole Near/Mello thing into play, L simply wrote his own name in the Death Note (so that he would die in 28 days), and then in the scene where Rem kills off everyone, L just pretended to die. Having already had his name written in one note, he couldn't die in any other way, and so they proved Light guilty that way.

I found it much more satisfying than the "Near/Mello working together" ending, where they made a "perfect copy" of the death note in a single night. It was also a hell of a lot more satisfying because, let's face it, everybody loves L and so it was a whole lot more satisfying to watch him win.

Death Note is one of my favourites because of the brilliance of their plans. Its wonderful to watch a show where you can't predict what's going to happen. Not to mention that L is one of the very, very few INTPs represented (at least accurately).

@fullerene: Ahhh... because of you I had to download the film... and I can't watch just the ending of something because it bugs me so I had to watch the entire thing. Personally I like the original ending in the anime. *shrugs*

fair enough.

For anyone else who knows the story and doesn't want to watch the whole movie, just read my spoiler. I outlined the (imo) cooler part of the movie plot for that reason.

Awesome show, but I only seen some episodes in order and the ending at friend's. I liked the live action too. Haruhi Suzumiya I watched all of and liked too. I tried others but couldn't get into and moved on to other stuff.

ROFLMAO

You should lurk moar. MUCH moar.

Haruhi Suzumiya I watched all of and liked too.

ALL of it? The 'second season' too? :phear:

To be more on topic, even though this has been discussed to death, and I've probably said it before several times:
1) Deathnote is definitely above average anime, but extremely overrated
2) I don't understand all the love L gets, I think L is an asshole
3) I will take a potato chip... AND EAT IT.
4) ???
5) PROFIT

EDIT: I forgot to tentacle rape Luminates *proceeds to do so*

I love death note. I think L was an intp because he was very messy and was very good at improvising when something did not go as planned.

Light was probably an enxj

L can be not an INTP. Why can't he be an ENTP?

because the only person he interacts with is Watari, and until this series nobody else had ever known his name or face because he was so reclusive?

It was also said that he solved all his cases alone, which is why contacting the ICPU for help was such a wtf-moment for the world. You also get the impression that complicated cases are his reason for living, because he only steps in when they're very difficult, or he has some interest in them.

Not to mention that he always does his work alone, and hardly even uses the other people in his group for anything. All the ideas still come from him, whenever they come out no one else knows where they came from (presumably he develops them himself before talking to the other cops), and his reasoning always takes a lot of explanation before the other people see how well it works.

I can't even find a hint of extroversion.

L's an INTP, N's an INTJ, Ryuuk is an ENTP.

This is old news.
