I wonder what the angle is for that. Whole foods has high prices and has been closing stores in the last year. They have a niche in the market, but it doesn't seem all that great.

Maybe Amazon will turn it into something like a Walmart, costco, or Sam's. But the competition is going to be tough for a brick and mortar supermarket. I wonder if this might be overly ambitious for Amazon, especially considering their success is with online selling and logistics, not setting up stores.

But I guess investors seem optimistic about it.

The Whole Foods locations can be used to deploy the Amazon Go smart shopping prototypes and the in-place logistics network can be used to supplement the Amazon/Fresh order system.

Amazon would cannibalize their sales if they competed with those stores since the market seems saturated on the lower economic end. I believe they'll keep it where it is other than implementing the plans mentioned.

I've been ticked off by Amazon for a while now, they are killing smaller businesses and it's really pissing me off more and more.
How can I make a stand against this? I don't want their monopoly getting any more powerful than it already is. Gross.

Shop locally, learn to make things yourselves!

Kill monopolies ! Be self sufficient !
That would be my motto

I want to start a cult againnnn

Objects in the mirror might look closer than they
amazon is mostly cool
i have seen a lot of small guitar shops owners closing saying "well now everyone buys stuff in thomann", sure because they have the cheapest prices, they deliver in time, top quality stuff, great customer service, why do i have to pay more and wait for you to ask if the distribuitor can bring my Ibanez? i have a need, i don't need morals.
rethink your business. we're going to be replaced all by machines in a non distant future.
better start learning code.
but if i had to be worried then i would be more worried about aliexpress haha
but god they are so cool in their way, u can find authentic treasures there.

As soon as small business can make one website that delivers to my lazy ass then I will switch over too.
