All-Seeing Eye at centre of Sydney's NYE celebrations

I'll post a couple of links in a sec. Just wanted to provide a bit of text first, for lazier people.

TLDR:
There was a giant neon eye at the apex of the Harbour Bridge for Sydney's NYE celebrations. It also had a giant pupil in its centre, which moved from side to side, scanning the harbour.

This year's theme was "Shine", designed by Reg Mombassa, an Aussie/Kiwi artist. They're selling Tshirts as well (of course) under the theme "Illuminate".

"WINGED SHANE: the Winged Eye of Providence: an omnipotent eye providing security and benevolent stewardship over Australia’s New Years Eve celebrations."

There's also one point where the eye kinda looks like a spaceship taking off. :D

Anyway. Just thought it worth taking note. I was surprised to see some people didn't even see it. Others did though. Nobody's misinterpreting it - it's meant to be an eye.

News with pics:

Mombassa's explanation behind his choice:

History behind the eye symbolism:

Illuminate Tshirt:

Some of Mombassa's art:

I'm surprised there hasn't been more talk about this. Weird conspiracy symbolism or not, a giant roving eye is pretty creepy, all on its own. Mombassa may be taking the piss - it'd be a nice little trick to play, sending conspiracy enthusiasts into a tizzy over a chucklesome appropriation of pop culture fears. (For those of you who are unaware, the Eye and a bunch of other supposedly Illuminati/Freemason symbolism have been popping up in movies/music videos/concerts.) But still, this close to Snowden - and by that I mean mainstream outing of what people have suspected/known for a while - it's a bit of an odd choice. Or maybe just very pointed.

Thoughts? Did anyone else notice it?

I am surprised, not really, that people continue to waste their money on flashes of light with varying colours and shapes.

In my culture using an eye as this as a centerpiece of decoration would most likely make people associate it with esoteric/occult practices, simply out of the question.

This artist seems to use eyes in his works, I wouldn't connect it with masonry and other movements that may or may not exist.

I won't give you more thoughts on nye decoration and fireworks as I find it pointless, waste of energy, resources, time and effort.

I bet Alex Jones spontaneously ejaculated in his pants after he heard about this. There was a time when this kind of stuff would have really freaked me out. But now, I don't really give it much thought. I have too many things to worry about already. I don't have time to worry about genocidal globalists, anymore.

I'm actually thinking of it more as a political statement (about massive global surveillance). Either subversive (sneaked in by the artist) or just trying to get us used to it (government).

I think its meaning leans a bit towards the occult as well, Blaurran. Including in the artist's works (they're used in a particular way).

I like the Sauron idea though. :D

Lot, the idea of the Illuminati or any other elite group with that much power is fun to think about, but a little hard to believe in. Buying into individual governments gaining way too much power with ever-expanding information technology, however, is not. That's a real problem, imo, and could eventually become that giant monolith-of-power bogeyman.

Then again, people have lived under authority for most of history. The idea of servant leadership still hasn't really caught on in practice, I think, though we buy into its existence with democracy.

(I kind of feel the same way - I got 99 problems and an Eye ain't one. But there are ground-level effects of power abuse, that affect individuals, people we want to protect and help, the same way we help victims of other abuse/tragedy. So it's not something we can ultimately blink away.

Still... I mainly posted this cos it was cool and weird and I wanted to talk about it. :p I can't be the only one freaked out by giant eyes. It was 12 storeys high and 60 tonnes! And it was moving around! Staring at us! Plus, all his cyclops animals littered around the city...

Maybe it's about penises.)

Irruminati?

"The more Snowden saw of the NSA's actual business – and, particularly, the more he read "true information," including a 2009 Inspector General's report detailing the Bush era's warrantless-surveillance program – the more he realized that there were actually two governments: the one that was elected, and the other, secret regime, governing in the dark. "If the highest officials in government can break the law without fearing punishment or even any repercussions at all, secret powers become tremendously dangerous."

Cheese, can we make this thread into the official illuminati conspiracy theorist thread?
:cutewhitekitten:

Dogs poop in alignment with Earth's magnetic field.

And not only that, but when the north/south alignment of dog poop is overlaid on the alignments for cat and hamster poop, and an equidistant circumference is drawn around each individual animal, the lines form the flower of life:

Coincidence? I think not.

http://armageddonconspiracy.co.uk/Sex-for-Salvation-I(2395054).htm

Hm, this link was actually semi informative. Should I recommend it? Endorse it? Knowing no one will read it?

I was actually surprised to see it touch upon the music industry aspect of Illuminati, which is usually largely dismissed:

"Music, when you really understand its significance, is the proof of God, of the soul, the afterlife, the eternal cosmic Will that can never fade. There is no universal heat death coming our way as the scientific materialists claim. The cosmos is alive and can never die. It is immortal Will. We are Will and we too are immortal. Go and listen to your favourite song and realize for the first time that it's the proof that you can never die. It's beyond all materialist theories of life.
But there's good music and bad. The bad is muzak - shopping mall music, deliberately sanitised and synthesised; plastic music for plastic people. The Will is extracted from it and replaced with blandness and banality. Most of the world's music is muzak, designed not to offend, incapable of moving us."

'a ho is a ho, a bitch is a bitch, i gotta get my money, and get rich'

Now I'm actually not sure what category those types of lyrics would fall under... Traditional lore would have it that "they" crave that type of stuff and want it to be widely distributed for purposes of propagating the current state/status quo.. Similar to sports, basically. 'Go Packers!' 'So, who do you want to win the Superbowl?' It's the easiest thing to talk about. I should record some conversations about sports I hear and store them for later use.

drank, smoke. waste time.

Michael Jackson?

Everyone should know about one of the most basic ramifications of Illuminati, concerning MJ

It's for that reason that celebrity culture revolves around sex appeal. Anyone who can act as the lightning rod for global sexual desire becomes a god or goddess. The likes of Megan Fox, Beyonce, George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Rihanna and Angelina Jolie are objects of desire for billions of people.
Yet these are all pale, bloodless divinities. They are what Judea-Christian capitalism uses to control us. Sex can be made so much more than the sanitized nonsense we are subjected to. Pagan sex is where the action is.

"bitches is givin' pussy away nowadays... you're lookin' at me like: "where!?" everywhere! you're wonderin' why you ain't gettin' any... cause you're weird! you mean well, you try to do good and to fit in, but they don't know what to do with you."

"
All of us, no matter how charming or interesting we might be, have a character that is flawed. We all know it. None of us feels comfortable in all situations. All sorts of things can induce anxiety in us"

I'd still be concerned about being accused of having some weird motive for being a proponent of anything, then again, most people just say "fuck what you think!/i don't care what anyone thinks about me!", which I always basically thought of as lame. But I've been there before, to some extent, granted, but I've semi been in a position contrary to what most may be accused of being. Just takes your mind off other things, really. I guess the reward is decent enough for what the type of output is. But even then, that sort of just goes to show.
So, there are proponents of meritocracies, which seems like a reasonable enough system. Those who work the hardest are rewarded most fruitfully? In terms of, umm, "capitalism" that seems to be reflected quite nicely.

"
The private space is the Id space in Freudian terms. The public space belongs to the Superego. You can't expect to bring the Id into the Superego space, unless special provisions have been made. Many people have extreme difficulty understanding that other people exist in the world. They think they can do whatever they want, whenever they want, wherever they want."

hm..?

That link gets kinda weird about a quarter of the way through. The problem seems to be that a lot of these types of ideas are real ideal, and it's simpler not to try and integrate them. Takes too much effort.. Most people would probably just want to keep doing whatever the hell it is that they're doing, PROBABLY for a decent reason?

"Even though the 9/11 conspiracy theories are crazy, they at least demonstrate a willingness to question the official story. Unfortunately, they have a narrative of their own - that of anarcho-capitalist libertarianism which is opposed to any form of government...They want to promote the narrative that the governments of the world are intent on murdering their own citizens, hence should be overthrown and replaced by their right wing form of anarchism.
The truth is that the ruling elite have no desire at all to kill their average citizens. Such citizens are docile, submissive and fully signed up to the propaganda of the elite. They are excellent consumers and they do the tedious droid and drone jobs that make the rich even richer. Why would the elite have any desire to destroy the geese that lay the golden eggs?
"

If you're ever bored, there's a pretty decent game to play. Works best with more than one person. Turn the TV on, and try to spot as many illuminati appearances as possible. For some reason, it's more apparent with commercials, but you can still spot some agenda during regular programming. Constantly flip through channels too, don't just keep it on one.

"
Those who can't be reasoned with aren't human - they are robots. There are billions of these robots in our world."

hm.. enlighten me? for the sake of. actually, i was curious to see how someone would deconstruct the thing. there are some clearly racist (anti muslim) things in there, so i guess those can be dismissed on some grounds. what? freedom of choice, as human beings?

but dang. that militantness. that's the same reason that one guy that made the movie and that other dude that made the comic strip are not lauded in the manner which they'd probably prefer. they don't have a choice, i don't think, at this point, it's up to whoever cares enough to give them a reputation. if anything, there's always SOMEONE out there that would give them some time of their day and/or offer support. i wonder how ironic it is, then, that people make that one comparison "nowadays"... it only began like a year ago, for perhaps justifiable reasons. shoulda seen me growing up, as a toddler
maybe then they'd shut the fuck up?

apparently i bothered that caucasian lady for not behaving a certain way, as if i have that much of a choice. hey, she started it
yeah, lemme just press this button and act like ryan coogler, since that's apparently what you'd prefer. and then, this seems to be the easiest way to manifest it?

wait, so the default m.o. is to want the acceptance? and if not granted, cry? so does that mean i have to... apologize? yeah yeah, get your coke hits. i find it amusing, first and foremost. go get em, tiger. sweet. keep up the good work. awesome. keep us posted on the progress.

wtf?

wait, that was drama, and unnecessary

unfortunately, from my experience, these things are inevitable when discussing illuminatis.

"was she a white girl?"
"lolno"
*both laugh*
"good, cause you know better than that."

did he have a point?

This is a pretty good, maybe one of the best, explanations of Illuminati I've come across:
http://overthrowingilluminati.wordpress.com/2013/08/07/how-to-overthrow-the-illuminati/

What else isn't mentioned that could potentially affect a judgment? Probably wouldn't even matter because under the doctrine of "bigger picture" anything can be bypassed in favor of an ideal statement.

... But still! What about all the weird political stuff going on? Bush, Obama; etc... That is IF they're doing what we actually think they're doing, which it sorta of seems like they are. They're just people. Could they actually be so kind hearted as to want whats best for the greater good? Why would they?

Obama? wtf?

lel wtf. it wasn't even... but i knew that would.. extra incentive?

I got to the part where you say Jewdea-Christian capitalists use sex to control us. That's without
looking at the video. I can't believe some people believe this. Life is based on decisions not necessarily impulses.

Believe in specifically what, though. Dude has a temper. I saw your other posts. Why post "I don't watch tv that much, it's bad for your health" in the "favorite tv show" thread? Just to deliberately try and start something. I'm sure they appreciated your attempt at trying to mitigate their sickness, if anything.

Forgot to add this quote, sort wish I didn't forget:

"There are only 24hrs in a day and if you spend all your time discussing your enemy, then what time is left for creating a system for yourselves so you don't have to depend on them?"

Might go through the rest of the article and pick out the remaining foods for thought, agag

If you want to read some meticulous research on weird topics which after having read through them do not seem that weird because they are heavily documented, researched and analyzed using logic and many contacts, read Joseph P. Farrell books. http://www.amazon.com/Joseph-P.-Farrell/e/B001KCNKF4/ref=sr_ntt_srch_lnk_2?qid=1389103673&sr=8-2 here's some of them. The guy is generalist and delves into physics, history, religion and have found many things I never heard about in my history class or elsewhere. You will also hear his opinion on elite guys running the world today. Basically, they are reaching the endgame due to the fact that many people realise how badly they are sucked by the system and want to change that. So these guys are forced to do something about that and for your knowledge, there are many elite groups fighting each other today for power. Which I find stupid. It seems like power attracts the most primitive minds who are into destruction, poverty and and death. Fortunately, people are digging deeper thanks to the Internet and many are disgusted by lies, secret agendas and enrichment of the few at the expense of billions.

Anyways. I don't believe everything he writes because I read sources that sound more logical so I advise to read his stuff and then put down the book to think for yourself. This is what the author advises people to do - start using your brain, not feelings.

Edit: I spotted a third board member with the exact same signature.
Forgot who exactly.
