Does anyone here else enjoy adventure games?

I remember playing Myst when i was very young (It was made in 93 and i was born in 92) I was probably around 5 or 6 and could only solve a few puzzles. I still love adventure games and right now I'm playing through some classic Lucas arts games through ScummVM.

Anyone else enjoy a little point and click?

I don't really like point and click adventure games, but action adventure games are some of my favorite

My username comes from The Longest Journey. I love everything LucasArts did in the genre; favorites being Grim Fandango and the Monkey Island series.

I'm excited about the Monkey Island Special Edition that's coming out. Not so much about the Telltale version, though. It's kind of a trip that these are really happening.. maybe the third Longest Journey will actually come out some day as well.

The longest journey is a truly amazing game, though I do prefer dreamfall...
I also attempted to complete the first myst game, I think it may have been a bit much for my tiny 6 year mind to understand. I also remember it being really creepy, all the abandoned rooms :phear:

I played Myst when I was about 6 as well (and I was born in 92 too. sick) and it's one of the games I enjoyed when I was younger. I don't think I ever "beat" the game but I'm definitely a fan of point and click adventure games.

I loved the first two Broken Sword games, the writing was brilliant, the characters excellently voiced and the humor was always spot on. The third one wasn't bad but it never recreated the magic of The Shadow of the Templars or The Smoking Mirror. I heard that the forth one was awful.

Oblivion! I have barely done any of the main story line. There is so much to do and so many treasures to loot. And after a few days in-game all the enemies in caves/dungeons reset so there is an infinite amount of looting to be done. Nice eye candy too.

Anyone here played the Kings Quest games? They are Adventure/puzzle, and the ones I've played through so far have been excellent. They are older games, as in from all the way back when NES was still the most popular console (there was even a Kings Quest game that got ported onto the NES, but otherwise all the Kings Quest games I'm familiar with are strictly computer games).

I also really do love the Elder Scrolls, and Zelda games.

I have a bunch of games in the Myst series but haven't really played them yet.

Although it's not quite in the same vein as Myst or the King's Quest games, I thought that Shadow of the Colossus was a real 'adventure' game - the game is essentially one beautifully rendered world where the entire point of it is to get lost in its landscape...

Haha.. yeah, I loved King's Quest.

And I also include Shadow of the Colossus and Ico in the adventure game category. They were more about exploring and solving puzzles than anything.

I just finished the first monkey island. I really enjoyed it, i wish they had that kind of humor in games today.
