A quick hello from a new member.

Hello all,

I just joined this forum of fellow INTP's and thought I'd introduce myself.

About 8 years ago I completed a Myers-Briggs test for a job interview (that I never got) and not only discovered that there was a name/classification for 'other's like me', but also that there is nothing wrong with 'who I am'. I really shouldn't have needed the validation, but that's a whole other story.

Anyways, now I find myself in a position where I want to discuss certain things with other people, but none of my friends or family seem to understand what I am wanting to discuss or just think I'm wierd for thinking about things other than day to day existence and the crap on TV. So after looking around on the internet I've come across this place. Now that I'm finished lurking I've registered and hope I've found a group of individuals that at least respect the act of thinking and discussing ones thoughts.

Well, that's about all I can be bothered to go into regarding me, so my next post should be someone interesting (to me at least) question or insight.

This is me 100% Just recently found out why I have always felt different from others around me and why they never seem to understand what I'm talking about. I wish I could meet and befriend another INTP in person. It would be awesome to hang out with someone who understands what I'm saying and be able to talk about things like astronomy and scientific discoveries on a deeper level.

I think I read somewhere that meeting one in real life is like a 1 in 10,000 occurrence; partially this is because INTP is one of the more rarer types, and also because of the introverted reclusive nature of the type; also, many of the INTPs who roam out in the open are pretending to be extraverts so they're hard to spot!

yah and think about this... once you find one, you're almost forced to befriend him or her because of the rarity of the event, it's like a supernova! even if you don't like the person lol you are forced to love your own kind hahahahah
