So, I've always had social difficulties in my life trying to fit with others going with their saying that I think too much, too quiet, so different, not normal, seems off a lot , don't open to them, a mysterious person. I didn't have a problem with normal people as I couldn't care less about what they think , but for my friends it was the same thing and it was a little irritating. I tried mimicking my ESFP, ESTJ and ESTP friends .It worked for sometime for them but I was like dying from my inside .Behaving in a way that's so not yourself .I was soon back to what I was before.
Then stumbling across MBTI personality personality test, and was amused by the result. Now I understand why I get easily bored from their talks them having all sensing type. But It's cool understanding things now how it is ..Actually through the years I learned some skills from them, and I can mimic some characters of their personalities sometimes, but it's always convenient to just being you :D .... But sometimes I get the need to share my ideas, thinking with someone and I tried with them all and all get disinterested ,does it have to do that i am the only intuitive type that our talks are all different ?? ...Also I forgot to say :
Welcome all and I hope I'll fit in my old lost home :D

Oh hello. The secert is, I don't even have the leisure to share my own ideas apart from the internet, where I just only share a portion of it, and with my so call best friend totally ignore me outright, even more than my usual friends who at least, treat me as an existing person. I ended up hating her for treating me as total nonexistence, and I am very glad she is gone forever. I got ya. I too got badly ignored anyways, and our activities arw just eating most of the time, but unbelivable is, my best friend never eat with me "in person'" except in body.

It is bad to be ignored, yes definitely. It is hard to stay shallow, even I always know a tiny bit of what had happened. Leave the deep talk to the appropriate places. It is what I can do at least.

Many times I can remember hanging out with my closest friends, getting drunk and having to stop and just admire the stars.

All of them hated when I did this- they didn't understand why I cared. They just wanted to party harder.

One of the many things I never understood until I found MBTI's explanation of my personality.

It's been instrumental in helping me understand myself and my strengths/weaknesses.

But as a warning to a new INTP- don't let yourself be defined by MBTI's interpretation of your personality. More specifically, don't use your INTP-type as an excuse not to do something. You should identify your weaknesses and work on them.

Yes. This is the biggest trap in MBTI in my opinion. I'd say it's even worse if you were to mistype yourself. You may restrict yourself to acting like INTP profiles say you do. Which is bad whether you've typed yourself correctly or not.

You have been warned.

I think I end up sharing things to different people , but no one knows everything . It's like giving pieces of a puzzle to some and not expecting much .

Actually before I knew about MBTI and I was working on my weaknesses and I've had an improvement through the last years that people around me had noticed.
I think MBTI just got me the whole picture of strong points which I should use, and weakpoints that I should improve.

Thanks for the advice :)

Yea, especially the shyness and avoidance traits, always could hold you back if you give in to them. Thanks man for the warning :D

Lithium23: Thank you. Even intp can vary from person to person. I don't think it's the best idea to be constrained by it, and if we are with different type of people anyways, we act differently.
