1: That the genie would be free and no longer bound to a master or source against its own will, but to have the freedom to experience life in a positive, moralistic fashion.

There really isn't a need to ask for another wish. Anything else I desired would be easily within reach. I could predict things by intuitively linking thoughts endlessly with perfect logic. I would finally understand God and the universe and could give myself the choice to either live forever on Earth (or another planet) or in Heaven.

The world's level of ignorance would be entirely in my control because I know everything. The extraordinary things that a normal human being could not even imagine because of ignorance would easy to attain as well. I would be perfectly efficient in everything and every way.

There are some brilliant technical and philosophical posts in this thread. I'm going to assume the "more wishes" loop can't be haxored, and you're stuck with three no matter what. I'm also going to assume the genie isn't out to get you, though in this circumstance, that's one of the first things I would attempt to ascertain.

Assuming limitless power potential from the wishes (as most of you have assumed so far):
1) I wish for the ability to instantly know everything it is possible for a human to comprehend about any subject I wish, at will.
2) I wish I had the magical powers of a high-level shaman in the Shadowrun system, but was the only one who did, and the negative aspects and dangers of Shadowrun didn't accompany this power.
3) I wish I could teleport, at will, with anything I cared to bring with me, instantly, perfectly.


If, however, the wishes had to obey the laws of reality, within reason:
1) I wish events were set in motion to make the society of the future, as envisioned by Jacque Fresco, become reality across the globe within the next 20 years.
2) I wish I had a document covering, in exacting detail, every possible method for faster than light travel, including how to create them, what methods can transport humans safely, and all the relevant knowledge necessary to create viable starships.
3) I wish for my life to be long, rich and fulfilling, filled with joy, achievement, and challenge, and to be remembered as a great man after my death.

Anyway this is really a dilemma for me. I haven't met too many genies and don't know their temperaments. Are they INTP's and cool or ENTJ's who can't be trusted?

I don't think the laws of this universe allow anyone to wish for more wishes. That would cause splitting of this universe into an infinite number of possible alternatives...oh, wait, that's already happening...so it would be infinity x infinity = 0 and we all die.

Better to wish for simple concrete things:

1. Please make 10 million dollars appear legally in my bank account.
2. Please give me the power to point my finger at any asshole on the road and by saying "zap!" their electrical system in their vehicle instantly fries and they coast to a stop heh heh heh.
3. On second thought, make that 10 billion dollars.

I've pondered about having a wish being granted to me before. The one wish that has formed from all my pondering is pretty simple, really: The ability to change any aspect of reality that I wanted to. Example- if I wanted to live in Pokemon-land I could just imagine it and I'm there. This also includes the control of time, life/death, etc. By changing what's real, anything is possible. I'd be able to know how anything (including other people) works, because I determine what is real, (and for a real mindfuck, I could imagine my brain comprehending it, and make that reality.)

With a glance-over of the thread some good complimentary wishes would definately be the load/save wish... in fact, if I didn't inject something into my first about being able to revert to the original reality, this would be necessary. Living in my own made-up world with no challenges or things to ponder would get boring eventually. Also, everything would be limited by my own imagination, and even though I do have an excessive imagination, there is a limit to my creativity and my ability to keep myself occupied.

As for my third wish? It's hard to imagine what to wish for when you already have the ability to control what's real. I think I would use it to be 100% sure that the genie conforms to my wishes regarding what I wish for and my intentions, not his own. My favorite part about thinking about wishes is how specific you can be. I'm sure I could write a complicated, multiple page long document describing my wish to the last detail. Then the last detail brings up another detail that needs to be addressed.
