  • Way to kill the vibe!

Well I'm on a sugar free diet now anyway, so something's going to have to change. Maybe, "Carrot, Celery and Beetroot Juice Mountain". What you think.
So if we've got Nanny and you are the Crone then that makes me...no, my name is not Magrat. I refuse.
lol, darn, well I guess my free laptops aren't doing enough to entice people. I should change to free candy, perhaps??
I just noticed that all the visible visitor messages on my wall are from you. Does this mean what I think it means??
    Is it? Why thank you.

What makes it so wonderful? Seems to be quite ordinary to me.
That would explain the total silence except gentle keyboard typing in my office. So peaceful and yet so lifeless
I'm stuck between caring too much about others, their feelings and opinions, to the point of me kneeling down to their power and being a jerk and making fun of everyone. I suspect that I originated from the latter but eventually grew to fear my own temperament because of lack of positive reaction. It's either or. I still cannot laugh at these extremities in subjectivity. Yu?
    I would love that.

How does the 32. of August sound?

    Say about 12:36pm Fiji time?
Full of wonders and flying people huh? I can only conclude that you are Peter Pan. We should have an imagined coffee some time.
Oh, how pleasant to have your acquaintance... I wouldn't say the worlds collide, a better analogy would be that the outside world beats the inside one to a pulp and spits on its battered body.

    :)

What's happening in your world - imagined or otherwise?
One of my greatest problems is most likely "weakness". I seem to have a subconscious judgmental "caste-like" view with people. I sneer at the weak and pray obediently to the powerful. Perhaps better words for this self-loathed trait are Superiority + Inferiority Complex.

How do you laugh at yourself?
I find it more desirable to be nice rather than mean. Although, I can easily have both sides.
The only reason I even considered such a post feasible is because you had, in the very same thread, basically asked for yourself to be insulted (lol) and almost every single one of your posts I've read are entirely sarcastic.
Well, I'm glad it did. But don't expect posts like that from me too often. Even posting that was extremely difficult (which I suppose should have been obvious from my deliberate debate within my head which I actually wrote on the post). I wrote the emoticon to perhaps soften the blow in case you did take offense. That is me, completely passive. Someone could express their true hatred for me but I would hate to express my true hatred to others (even though that post was not true hatred, it could have been perceived as such). It caused me a little worry after the fact.
lol, I was entirely joking on that post. No need to think on it. Sorry if I caused any inconvenience. I thought that it might would, but decided to throw my generally cautious nature out and replace it with spontaneity for once.
I think you are very wise, if not one of the wisest in this forum. ...maybe it's the avatar. No, I can definitely sense a serene force within you. Do you have any weakness? What is your opinion on weakness?
You're only at a little over 300 posts and you already have a hater crushing on you? That's got to be a land speed record. And you said you couldn't get people to hate you.
    My preciouuuusssssss?! NOOOOO.

Or, well, we could duel over it, but I find those to be messy and downright unappealing.
No dreams of 7 mile long snakes I'm sorry to say. I do remember dreaming, but it was one of those dreams which fades from memory about 30 seconds after waking up. Always frustrates the hell out of me. Occasionally I can bring them back into focus after that which brings the satisfaction of opening a locked door somewhere in my mind. It's rare though.

I wonder what you're dreaming of at the moment? Hmm..

*attempts to send mental images of a Twiglet humping a blue blancmange in the tower of Pisa*

Let me know if that worked ;)

Thank you though, glad you liked them. I think the majority were composed when I took a 5 month break from work and spent the time race-prepping cars. Apparently it was good for my state of mind. :D
Good to know I've got something to fall back on, just in case ;) I'm sure we can come to some arrangement though. If it works for drug dealers...

You would be able to get some serious air, though make sure you pack your warmest wet-suit. Might get a bit nippy once you hit the wet stuff.

And thank you. I'll make sure to sing "This is the end, my only friend, the end" before lighting it. I estimate that to give you around 8 seconds warning before the fuse is lit. Use it wisely :waffe:

I'm off to bed now. Enjoy whatever kicks you manage to find. I'll catch you tomorrow, probably ;)
This is possibly true. A two week all inclusive vacation to Gran Canaria would likely seem a bit pedestrian afterward :D Still, I'd rather do it than not.

As for what next? Well, do it again perhaps. Maybe save up a few pennies to go sunbathing on Mercury; Hopefully they'll have invented SPF 5000 by then else things might get a bit crispy. Or visit the ice geysers of Enceladus, or the methane lakes of Titan? Does your water snobbishness extend to other liquids? ;)

If that thing goes off I'm not sure you'll be able to read this
    ...now!

    As Mark Twain said:

"Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness."

So I think it has a natural appeal to NTP types.

On a kind of related note, wouldn't it be amazing to go into space? Weightlessness offers all kinds of intriguing possibilities.

We must be pushing the envelope with the visitor message system. What will it take to break it?

And thank you, I try ;)

P.S. You did have more questions, this time...
For me? There are several reasons, some of which are similar to yours. It's mind-expanding. It's a new and unfamiliar place/experience. It's completely seperate from normal day-to-day life: There's almost nothing that you HAVE to do, little responsibility and accountability, no requirement to process what you do/experience and spit it back out in a particular format, unless you want to. The ancient can have a certain allure, but then so can the very modern. There's a temporary (and as you say, unreal) freedom involved which is very liberating I find. Also new food, new people, both are usually refreshing.

Mine is also too long. Part 2 coming up...
I know exactly what you mean ;) I've never been to Spain, Scotland or Ireland, for pretty much the exact same reasons. Some day! Where in Africa?

Plitvice was definitely one of the highlights of Croatia, good call. Egypt is also on my to do list, and as my Dad now lives in Denmark I'm kinda overdue for a visit there anyway.

If you ever make it to England give me a shout, there are definitely some places around that are worth seeing. What do you particularly like about seeing different places anyway? Landscape? Architecture? History? Culture? All of the above? How many questions can I fit into a paragraph?

It might, or it may retreat into a secret place, nourish itself on dark meats and return bigger and stronger than ever. :mythcreature:

    Hmm.

Actually, you're probably right, and it's more fun that way anyway :)
Sounds like it'll have to go on the list then. It keeps growing..

I do remember seeing a lot of English TV there (subtitled) so that figures. Who knew the Cartoon Network was educational?

I do enjoy travelling, though I don't get to do as much of it as I'd like. Mind you I don't think anyone that enjoys it does. I have to admit I do like the Greek islands: Kefalonia, Delos and Naxos in particular. Croatia would also be a recommendation but that's kind of redundant in your case :D Do you have any other recommendations?

My list of places I want to see at the moment includes:
Norway, St Petersburg, Machu Picchu, Rome, Japan...and others that I can't think of right now.

    Don't push your luck ;)
Haha. If I'm honest that's actually a fair way from where I am, though I may take a trip up there next week. I'll let you know if I find any bodies. Or dump any ;)

I liked it quite a lot actually, there are some very beautiful places there. Some of the areas around/in Zagreb weren't quite as nice but hey, you take the rough with the smooth. I made a brief foray through Bosnia (without a passport :o) but didn't see any of it. The Adriatic coast in general is lovely from what I saw of it!

Have you traveled much? I have to say your English is better than the majority of people I went to school with, in England! Have a cookie for being awesome.
