Well, I don't know, how can you possibly know that ancient art is never forgotten?

I mean, if it was forgotten, how would you expect to know about it?

If you're suggesting that the greatest peices can affect generations,,,hrm...maybe, but I think all art has a cut-off point, a point were it ceases to be thought of as pure brilliance and inspiration, and instead is seen as a peice of heritage over a generations energy.

For example, I'm sure one day technology will stretch our artistic understanding so greatly that hand drawings will be rather plain in comparison.
