  • Have any luck getting that driver downloaded? FYI, a driver in layman's terms is the software that makes hardware work. All hardware needs a driver to work.

Sometimes Windows has drivers integrated already, soemtimes it doesn't.
Oh teaching kids, nice! I know nothing about sailing or any of the rest, LOL. Those pics on your album are soooo cool though. It would be so awesome to just chill on a ship and relax/read.

I haven't experienced a fully lucid dream, but a couple weeks ago I was actually questioning myself in the dream. One of the tips they had was to try to poke your finger through your hand, to determine whether the dream is lucid. Well, my finger didn't go through and I forgot to count fingers, etc.

It's so funny cause there were these really weird worm/slug things that are SO abstract here but they were abnormal there, but not THAT abnormal.

So close... I am going to start working on it more, at least recording dreams if nothing else.

I would be driven about mad too if I had to teach something I didn't have full understanding of.

Have you had quite a few lucid dreams?
Yes! I am definitely ready for the book. It should be arriving any day now.

I am not exactly sure why I didn't talk, maybe I just didn't have anything to say, hehe. My sister definitely did enough talking for the both of us. I would make sounds and grunts and so forth, but no words. I should ask my mom if I went straight into sentences.

It seems as though the older I get, the better I become with English and the easier it is to comprehend, or my interest in it grows. To give you an idea of my English problems in High School: We were reading the Cask of Amontillado and for MONTHS I thought it was the Cask for Armadillo!

I don't think I was able to sleep very well at that time either, though. Whenever I start learning heavily I have a MUCH harder time putting my mind to rest at night.
Just finished part 3. It is AWESOME! M theory was talked about on that other show I watched, but this is so much more in depth. :D
Very similar situations. I would never want to redo school, I hated it. I wouldn't mind it if I was the only one there, but the teachers were shit too. I graduated from an alternative school. The most ironic thing is that they were the best teachers I ever had. I went to an advanced school in Jr High and beginning in High School but I failed in English and that as the beginning of my downward spiral.

I don't have problems with English nowadays, but back then I really had problems for some reason. I didn't even talk until I was 4.
Yea, that makes sense. I had a HUGE falling out in High School. Math has always been my strongest skill, although I didn't follow through on it. Never too late to make up for past mistakes, though! I have been getting into philosophical logic too. It has been pretty interesting so far, I am really looking forward to automatically thinking in that way.
Hey that's cool, hope you're enjoying the album. Pretty much all of Tool's stuff takes a while to absorb but it's quite rewarding at the same time.
King Crimson are the band that most influenced Tool and they're one of my fav bands, so if you like 70's progressive rock/ jazz rock i'd go for them. Try googling '21st century schizoid man' or 'in the court of the crimson king'
Yea, I hear you, I have been really wanting to better understand the theory of relativity from a mathematical standpoint as well. I stopped way short in math in school though, I am not sure if I need to go through calculus for this, or what would be the best launchpad. Honestly, I probably need to re-study algebra to have a sturdy foundation.

BTW this show just started blowing my mind! EM+W+S forces all combined??? o_O hahaha
Thank you, I appreciate that. You are quite enjoyable to talk to as well!

As for the show, I am really enjoying it. The first part was kind of a review of what I have seen before, but it is always fascinating, especially from different perspectives of the shows.

So do you know all of the theory behind all of the physics that go into this?

One of the guys on another forum is doing quantum mathematics right now and it sounds quite interesting.
It got down to -39 windchill this year. Let's just say I am not a big fan of the weather here. :(

That and all the wonderful scenery of corn. It is great...
Awesome! It is finally starting to get above freezing here, can't wait to take the bike out. I really enjoyed Alice in Wonderland. Did you like it?
Just download a new driver from that link that I sent you when you are on another comp, sounds like their installer from the disc is screwy, I have never been a huge fan of netware in general. What OS are you running?

Happy Pi day to you as well. My weekend has been exceptional. And yours?
I will make sure to keep you out of the loop when I get in a mood to talk about classless inter-domain routing (supernetting) or BGP routing protocols. haha. Not that I know much about BGP myself.
Oh and you aren't the only person with issues. I was getting my drive array set up for my new storage server, it was like 20 hours into the 36 hour initialization and one of the DAMN DRIVES FAILS!!! AAAAAAARRRRRGH!!!!

    *twitch*
I know what you mean when the inet goes out x_X. Fortunately I have enough books to keep me busy when it goes poof.
The installer is giving an invalid drive E specification?? Can you download the drivers from another computer @ the adapter's website and transfer them over?
Yea, Terabyte. My roommate and I are attempting to download the internet. J/K We are curious how fast we can fill it up.

Gonna go start getting this system set up. ttyl!
Ooooh that sounds crazy! Impalement is definitely not on my list of TO-DOs. That is CRAZY that he lived!
wooohooo! My Highpoint 2320 RAID card just came in! I didn't think I was going to get it until Monday. I can FINALLY get this storage server running for new storage. 4TB of fully redundant storage scalable up to 14TB. :D
Discovery Health I would tune into sometimes, mystery diagnosis IS cool, I watched that a few times.

Or sometimes I would catch some show where the docs have to help a guy with a butcher knife sticking out of his head or something, LOL.
Mine too. I haven't watched TV in years but Discovery, Science, and History were about the only channels I could stomach. I should subscribe to the Magazine.
Beta waves, both 20 Hz and 25 Hz, made me feel a tad slower. I haven't done enough to determine the minute differences between 15, 20, and 25. They actually showed in a study that someone receptive to beta waves slowed in actions/reactions by 10%. I definitely felt more slothy than stimulated, althougn not a super relaxed state like the alpha.

There is somet theory that Gamma waves are actually the most stimulating, although I think I read that binaural can only do up to 30 Hz and Gamma > 40.

They couldn't measure gamma waves on the old analog electroencephalograms (EEG) but they can with the new digital ones.

Should be able to simulate it visually or through electric pulse tho.
When it's sunny, it's really really beautiful. But when it's not, it's gloomy, depression and altogether very gray.
Glad you liked it. They have a few other episodes. I really like those images, those and that symphony of science kinda reminds me of that child-like awe that I had a LONG time ago, it is awesome!

Thanks for the link! I will look at it after work. How are you?

BTW I looked at those pics that you posted, they are AMAZING! Did you take them? You have some real talent. ;)
Great! Thanks for all the information...
except where I stay is up to my parents to decide D:
    I hope I turn 18 soon. But I'm 14. D:
    Ooooh...*envious look*

I've been to California before, beautiful. Just beautiful. I wish I could live there D:

I actually noticed that I am doing it right now in my shoes at work, even without music. I make my own beat. It is something unconscious that I have done for a loooong time. I typically alternate in 3's (left toes, right toes, left toes....right toes, left toes, right toes)

I tap my fingers to the beat a lot too. I <3 strong percussion like Stomp or the double-bass drum in a metal band.

I can sit still for days if I have something to read although I might wiggle every so often.
    Ok, here is one:

During my later years in High School, my best friend (a pathological liar) made up a new nickname for me.

    What was that nickname?

    Twinkle-Toes
Hm... It's now about 3 in the morning and where am I? I'm on the internet talking to myself because there's nothing better to do at 3 O'EFFING CLOCK IN THE AM. Sleep? Nope, no sleep for me. And how many hours of sleep did I get last night? Approximately three. My physical battery is running low; pineal gland (yeah, I'm talking to you, pineal gland), I would appreciate if you would hurry up and do your job of regulating my sleep/wake cycles.
...Damn delayed sleep phase syndrome. I am a little bitter.
