I'm really keen on comic studies, but I'm not widely read as it's something I've only been exploring for the last few years. Like, I've heard of all the comics in your list but I haven't gotten around to reading them yet.
How do you find the forum, I haven't seen you around much. (:
I'd obviously recommend the main works Alan Moore collaborated on, I've read most of his now and From Hell and Watchmen are the most impressive to me. Maus by Art Spiegelman, Jimmy Corrigan: the smartest kid on earth by Chris Ware and Scott McCloud's Understanding Comics (non-fiction but it really made me appreciate other comics in ways I wouldn't have done otherwise) are landmark comics to.
