  • Dammit he's so cool looking...I HAVE to know who he is or at least who took that picture! Where did you find that picture?
no backhandedness! i am not cool, i didn't buy this hoody, i wouldn't have even got it if my mother hadn't /insisted/ i needed new clothes, darnit. honestly, you look great. maybe, when i am older and can grow a cool beard, i will look as cool as you. i have a yellow plaid hoody, but you have the 'i aint trying, it just comes naturally' cool to you. you would look great in a suit, i think.

i would still love to see you in a blonde wig, blue make-up and lipstick :D
    lol

mask like? i have never heard that description of anyone before :D
it sounds pretty cool to be described as mask-like actually *attempts to look cool*

come to think of it, if i put you in tons of makeup and a blonde wig - you would look like my avatar :D
take this as a compliment - you look really cool!

i mean, no offence, but as someone else said i was expecting a Buscemi-esque appearance, i thought you would look very...you look great! :D
oh I didn't clock that - got the link from a facebook friend who must be a subscriber. That *is* a photo of me on my page!
I suppose I imagined something like Steve Buscemi :D

Not planning to leave no. I was just saying I never really meant to be here I just ended up here. Went with the Flow I guess. Besides I love the weather here. Rain and clouds are conducive to my introspection and it gets a little sunny in the summer and then the cool calm rains come again.

Are you into Science Fiction at all? If so, have you read the S. M. Sterling Dies the Fire books? They are pretty good science fiction but what's really fun about them is that they are set in the Portland and Willamette Valley area. It's weird to read about post apocalyptic Oregon where the characters are tramping across my backyard.
Thanks. If that is you, you don't look like how I imagined you. Funny how that works.

I don't really know how I ended up in Oregon...just sort of woke up one day and found myself here ;) I think you'd like Portland a lot.
Ah! Didn't see your response. So respond in both places, "Music, most definitely, movies require a real moooood."
For some ungodly reason I cannot comprehend, it seems like I have never had the pleasure to see one of his movies. A travesty that I hopefully will correct soon-ish. Any starting point you'd recommend?
What do I do now? I'm writing a training program for a tech support call center. Ideally I'd be in chemistry where I spent all the money to get a degree, but I'm workin' on fixing that.

And I agree with RT, its really become a problem how awesome Oregon is <le sigh>

What about you? Have you found something in the area or is there anywhere I could point you?
I do live in a suburb of Portland, but I'm unemployed and I'm looking for work in Seattle or San Fran, so I may be gone by the time you arrive. :/

And yeah, we do have a lot of unemployment. The thing is that Oregon does a lot of manufacturing & construction so when those tanked our economy tanked. And the continual stream of migrants to Oregon is only increasing unemployment. (But that's really a good sign. It means Oregon is awesome!)
hi - I'm loving your lo-fi music thread - wanted to contribute but can't work out how to embed a youtube vid - can you tell me how to do that?
Be warned, when you get here, you may be forced to socialize "In person". I'd ask if you wanted to have coffee, but I don't like coffee, and you know how frustrating it is to use sayings that don't actually represent your intention. What was I saying?
