Well, I have never really been in to trying typing other people but have recently found myself doing it automatically. Seeing as I have just started it's logical to assume I'm going to make some mistakes, hence I am going to give you a character description of certain individual to type, and see whether I was wrong or right!

I'd apprechiate the input.

1. Very quite, generally avoids socialising, sarcastic, factual, creative, logical, very very funny when in company they like, gentle, hard to read, doesn't like touching other people, avoids smalltalk, a little bit in his own world, very passionate about his career, doesn't like people, honest.
I am certain on the INT but am uncertain to the P/ J as he seems to skip between the two. Yet he seems to use the J function more. I am the only person (aside from his family) to see a more P side to him.

2. Usually fairly quite but gets involved in conversation frequently, enjoys small talk, has no intrest in intellectual pursuits, very silly, kind and giving, cares for peoples feelings, very orderly and neat, gets quite excited.
Seems to me as an ESFJ, but reminds me a lot of mother whom is an ISFJ. Could be either Introvert or Extrovert.

3. Very playfull, Excitable, very chatty not usually in small talk but is able to proceed well with it, considers others feeling, giving and sharing, fun, ensures they and they're items are neat and orderly, enjoys philisophical debate, intrested in intellectual pursuits, wears his heart on his sleeve.
Appears to be an ENFJ or ENFP?

4. Very load, social, confident, stubborn, cares for other people, considers others feeling, is the sort of person who keeps the group together, way to familiar with people, very silly (not in a good way), really annoying, makes me come out of my shell a little, fun, tends to go on about the same things all the time, no intellectual interests, very illogical.
An ESFP maybe?

INTX could be perfectly accurate, MBTI is merely a system of classification after all.

This is how I deal with typing (Which I share because it seems to be working):
Don't look for solid characteristics, go Jungian style.
Ti and Fe or Te and Fi ?
Ni and Se or Ne and Si ?

Then if you have your functions... For instance: Ti Fe Si Ne. Wonder: Ti and Fe on the outer ring (Ti/Fe XX XX Fe/Ti) or in the inner ring (XX Ti/Fe Fe/Ti XX).
Then do the same for Ne and Si.

If you have decided your inner ring, Imagine what Dominates /guides these functions. (Is it the introverted function or the Extroverted function).
-For instance your inner ring is Ne and Si. Then think, is Ti dominant or is Fe dominant? This shouldn't be that hard ;)

Oh and if some1's characteristics confuse you, just hang around with that person for a while :D
