Singapore Math for troubled learners

If STEM Careers are important then perhaps we need to try new methods of teaching math to people. Here is what I am proposing to the PTA's in the schools in my kids district.

I hated the damned model method. I was one of the guinea pig batches when it was first introduced years ago. It made me feel like a retard. Plus, the teacher liked to penalise for untidy models (and untidy handwriting for that matter!).

Life was so much better when I got to secondary school and everything was algebra.

Everyone learns differently I guess.
