I first played this piece when I was 12 or 13. My mother (a flute prodigy) told me that I should try and play it staccato the way Glenn Gould did. I will never be able to make it sound the way it sounds when he plays it, but I won't give up. My dream is to be able to play the Goldberg Variations, which I hope to try soon.

Glenn Gould playing Bach is the most perfect thing I have ever found in this universe, and I have looked hard for perfection.
