Not the crap starring that atrociously unnattractive dwarven US scientology lunatic. Not the masterful Orson Welles version of H. G. Wells' classic book either (which I admit to not having read) - I'm not quite old enough for the 1938 radio broadcast.

But I was a very young kid when this came out, and I loved it to bits. It composed a large part of my primal atmospheric senses and apocalyptic fantasies

'love of reason' is a translation of 'philosophy'. Though I also like it because it appears a tad irresolvable in itself, expressing the perpetual tension between polarities, yet if anything I'm essentially non-dualistic. Meaning, to my mind, there is ultimately no conflict between the terms, 'love' and 'reason'.

I'm also contrarian. If you can't understand it; if it makes no sense to others, I will be irrestistibly drawn to it - determined to find its meaning, truth and application.
