So, I recently took a test online (again), and funnily enough, it placed me into the ISTJ category, with S being 1% bigger than N. I'm not really sure about me being ISTJ, tho - I kind of categorized myself to INTP.

So what do you guys think? Is this just a weird anomaly, or what?

I read somewhere that INTP mis-categorize themselves all the time (tho it was referenced to INTJ vs. INTP).

Also, can people fall into more categories than one?

Stop using online tests to determine personality type. Learn how to identify functions and use that.

It is beyond futile to try and find a consistent measurement of your, 'type' in any online test, let alone across several.

Ok, ground rules,
1. no matter what the damn Fs try to tell you, it does not change over time. lol
2. A lot of the online tests are just unreliable, but seeing as if that's your only tool because you can't really identify the functional stack yet, go with whatever you score the most
3. Yes, INTPs misstest a damn lot - but that's because we use generalities (the mbti itself), and a lot will be left out, while a lot is still covered.
I pretty much agree with Red Baron
But yeah like I said if you can't yet recognize how the functions work/stack, read the profiles as a last method, and see which one you fit most.
