inspired by this:
why is Fi always described as "extremely offended by criticism"? this doesn't even sit well with the nature of Fi
or maybe i still dont know what Fi is
Imo I say it's due to high empath sensitivity, despite popular belief I wouldn't say it's due to having a high value of their personal feelings over everything else. In fact I would argue some Fi types can be more objective than others if they want.
in your opinion, which Fi stereotypes do you find to be true and which are false and why?
i might edit this later to add some common Fi stereotypes...you're all familiar with them anyway :P

Fi types are accepting of other people.

Perhaps to feel others aren't accepting them... hurts.

Everybody is at least a little sensitive to criticism, but it depends on what, and there's variation in how they react. I think it relates strongly with the theory of hostile attribution bias

yes, ofcourse
there's variation in how they react. I think it relates strongly with the theory of hostile attribution bias
from what ive gathered, Fi is more prone to insecurity and self doubt...perhaps because, unlike the case with Fe, it is difficult to feel grounded. with Fe there is more room for feelings of accomplishment, because the "success" of Fe is sort of concrete and can easily be recognized in its environment. but Fi can never be sure, and i think it's precisely for this reason that Fi would take criticism seriously, rather than dismiss it as offensive or hostile, it is a gateway for increased self awareness and scrutiny. for me, i find that criticism usually haunts me for a long time, which sucks because people dont always mean what they say and sometimes are only looking to hurt you

Thing is the personal seems to be really personal. I can make INFP shivering just by stating my things and ISFPs down right disgusted even offensive. Well INFPs are more receptive to my jokes than ISFPs (they do not really stand jokes about the third reich but even INFPs can produce them...)
