I've recently encountered and been inspired by the art of Hiroto Ikeuchi.

What is it? Nothing, it's art, it doesn't actually do anything, the guy wearing it can probably just see enough of the ground in front of him to be able to walk around without tripping over, but there's no reason why that couldn't have actual cameras in it and those antennas could be actual working antennas.

Or rather what really appeals to me: how complexity creates the illusion of technological sophistication, the example above doesn't do anything but it certainly looks like it does, it looks like it does several things and does them very well, after all why else would someone go to all that effort?Patrick Stuart said:Greebling is a kind of three-dimensional detailing added to a model to seduce the eye into the illusion of scale.
