From recent 16personality tests (and I've been taking them over the course of the past few years), I've somehow consistently scored INFJ. At first I thought it was just an off day, but after a couple years of testing this, I've come to realize that I'm somewhat between an INTJ and an INFJ. But those are two types you say- hear me out.
The cog stack for INTJ and INFJ are basically the same except for the two middle ones, that being Feeling and Thinking stacks (as presented below)
Now you might say: Hey! Te and Ti are completely different functions! And so are Fi and Fe!
And yeah, so that's the point. I think I oscillate between Te and Fe, as well as from Fi to Ti.
When I engage with people, I usually have a Ni-dom running in my head, but depending on the situation or the person I'm engaging, I deploy Te. If I deploy Te, I tend to fall back to Fi, because I don't express my emotions (though it's running in the background) while I'm engaged in Te.
Conversely, when I engage with someone with Fe, my Te takes a back seat and Ti softly takes over.
I've most noticed this when I talk to girls: for example, if I think a girl is T oriented, I tend to engage my Te, meaning I'm more of an INTJ. If I'm with a girl who's more feeling oriented, I tend to engage my Fe, and so on. But the overarching Ni-dom is there, trying to figure things out.
I think in the past, I'm not sure who it was, either Hado saying that I'm Ne-dom, but usually tended to be in internet situation where I can unleash my Ti to the max, which looks like Ne at the outset. In real life I'm extremely zoned in, and it takes really close friends to open up my Se and to be able to whip out my Ti and Te to the max degree. Usually, it's an ENFP, or something of the close variant.
Anyway that's what I've been pondering for a couple of months regarding typology. I could be all wrong.
To be honest, I'm just a bit more commanding when (I think) I am INTJ, while when I'm INFJ, I try to be more understanding of the emotional component of a person. In a social setting, I'm more INFJ because I'm trying to extract as much possible information from people, whether from social cues or tones in language or body motion/the eyes, and try to react to those cues, while I'm in a INTJ state I tend to be more interrogative and direct with the information I'm given. In the work place, I tend to find myself being INTJ to my inferiors or INFJ to my superiors. Either way I could be all wrong, but then again if I am wrong, I think I've understood what an INFJ is a lot more clearly now.
I've ruled out being an INTP because I feel too much now. I think it's just a part of growing older, but my feeling, whether Fi or Fe, are definitely not in the back seat.
